Here in Texas it is possible to find petrified wood in the woods. There is a patch of wood on the edge of my parents land that we have found some nice pieces. One is used as a doorstop in my parents house.

Kitty story below:

On Saturday I heard a little kitten meowling like crazy. I walked around outside and heard that it was coming from someone's car, where the engine is located. I couldn't find the owner. My son and I tried to coax it out with no success. I went back a bit later, found the owner and we both tried, he even moved the car, but the cat stayed inside, under the axle cover. Yesterday he left his engine lid open and I tried to coax it out, even managed to grab it once and flipped it out of there but it ran back in. I kept insisting it was blind or nearly blind. Later, the owner of the car managed somehow yesterday to get it out, and he dropped it off in my yard! It was hiding under the ramp to our front door, I managed to coax it out after a few hours of calling it intermittently. My brave husband grabbed it, and I put ointment in its eyes (one totally closed with the safety lid in place :( and the other all full of gunk). I wiped it's nose off because it couldn't smell the tuna I put down for it. Hand fed it the tuna and gave it droppers full of water and put it in a box in our shed. Gave it some more food and ointment and TLC and by this afternoon it was jumping out of the box and running to me. It's so cute! Full of fleas! My daughter came home from work (it's 3:30 pm Monday here) 2 hours ago and I showed it to her (she wants to name her Heidi if it's female, I want to name it Motor if he's male) and she gave it a bath and picked off some fleas and sat with Heidi/Motor in the sun and then we put her/him back in the shed. I love the tail straight up stage when their back legs are faster than the front ones! I think we have another cat.... 0-o

Also my schizophrenic tendencies, normal things seem out of place. I usually picture the petrified forest in Arizona. Its different here in the western tip, like the Rio Grande being dry.

So far only one of the litter I'm fostering is prospective for adoption, the little calico. My nieces just love hauling them around. And I also need to keep an eye on them, they're gunked up as well.

Thought you would like it! My daughter had let Heidi/Motor in and I came home and saw it wiggle under the chair. It came right over when I called it. Not TOO fearful of the dog; Hunny wants to lick her! :) I am already sneezing like crazy, so keeping her in will NOT be great, plus once she is bigger training her to NOT come in is impossible. Snoopy has not lived in the house for 2 years and still dashes in whenever the door is open. I wish I could get it on video: Hunny runs over and takes her dog food to her bed when Snoopy comes in. So funny!

It was going to happen, my mother asked to get the A/C running today. Well then, I had gotten my old big bed back in my room, and I toss during summer nights.

Our cats are here for vermin control, so the expense is considered.

Huh, I was told that my mother is going out of state this weekend, rather than last. It'll be some work figuring what to do Friday and Saturday. My friend might be busy with finals, and I can only go so far on buses.

I favor instrumental music, so that meaningless words don't interfere with my train of thought. It gets derailed easily...
