We put it off for next time, we spent seven hours cleaning out his garage. At least there's space here now. Oh, we stopped a few minutes ago. The progress with his car was satisfactory, but were ordered to clean out by his mother.

: Why, hello there to you! How are you and your family doing this time of year? You live near the same latitude as we do, are you having a cold spell too? Weldon wants to know if you have a good Hamantaschen or Kreplach recipe. He's always trying to learn something new.

I've been busy with babies...lots of babies. They are nearly four weeks old now and are almost weaned. We have another month before the weather starts to warm up, (it snowed again today...) and they can go outside for play-hunts.

Healer's Hall has been very quiet this winter. Only a couple of sniffles, a gash with a leather knife and a blacksmith apprentice smashed her paw real good (no broken bones!!) But it's dull as dirt and I'm not missed during my maternity leave. I return at the first of March. I ordered Healer Brenda to have the painters whitewash every wall in the place and to have it looking spiffing by the time I got back.

Weldon is bored lately. (I think it's just old fashioned cabin fever) He has gone on and on about starting new hobbies, from dry-curing homemade sausage, making home-made cheese, home-made beer, home-made moonshine....you get the picture. I told him that he would have better luck at killing himself by starting a mercenary army, then poisoning himself on some home-made food item produced from molds. He cooks up a storm, bakes all kinds of great cookies, cakes and pies, but we can't eat the vast quantity that he makes and he cannot sell it due to the laws we have about competing with the trade guilds such as the bakers. I think he needs to come out of retirement and go back to work with the Watchers, training pilots to fly Lizi's flying machines...

Alas, Not complaining, just keep Welly in your prayers. I don't want to come home to find that his home-made sauerkraut-operated whiskey still blew up and flung cheese missiles into orbit.

That is a very deep and kind thing to say. I definitely serve a need, if not in the staff's eyes, the kids sure let me know. I walk out of the school to cries of many many children waving to me, some go out of their way to greet me, and others I don't even teach them or work in their classroom! It's a good feeling.
