Cool! Fermented foods sounds very interesting! My friend swears by it, and my daughter does all sorts of healthy things. They have no flour, milk or sugar in their house. Also cool that your friend likes what you did. Good job!

I can use the encouragement, I keep telling him if I can hit it off I'll be the kind TV shows are about.

I know fermented foods have far more cultures than any store bought items. Especially homemade.

I love lactose-fermented foods! Though we don't do that ourselves, our pickle-merchant makes all kinds of yummy foods besides just fermented pickles. Her sauerkraut is so delicious and totally unlike anything you could ever purchase in a store. It's vibrant endnote at all harsh. She makes kimchee, olives, pickled eggs, salsa, chow-chow, and sourdough starter for the bakers. But her sauerkraut starts with dark beer!!! Amazing. I wish you all the best as you explore making your own pickled foods. You will certainly be in for a treat. And talk about probiotic!!
