I need like a separate area called Noob Corner where I can ask stupid questions without feeling bad BUT I'm trying to work out what I need to have sorted before winter ends. Mostly I'm worried about missing achievements or items retiring never to be seen again but I can't seem to figure out what items are about to be retired full stop and which items are just on a seasonal cycle?

Does anyone have any insight on what would be a good idea to tackle NOW because it won't be available next year? Also any achievements that might be available now that won't be available next month? I wish there was a seasonal section in the achievements log 😓

p.s. I'm pinging you guys for help because 1. I have no shame 2. You've had a few days without thousands of pings I figured you might be feeling lonely ;)

on the news page you can see that a few cash shop items will retire on march 9th but all things in the event shops will stay there forever so no worries about them i don't know about the archievments but i doubt anything there will retire soon also if items retire they most likely will bring them back in some way after a while (like the really old Survival restockables what you can get from Quentins quests right now)

Oh, hallelujah. I FINALLY HAVE SKIN AGAIN! Clusterflux was the start of my "I have all my favorite zombie strains already. Which do I feel least 'meh' about?" quest. And thus, I cared very little for the intermediary stages. But now I can wear clothes again! And play in the wardrobe! My current outfit was one that I made the day before Survival, so it didn't get to have any time to breath.

In regards to your question- I think you're probably good. Right now, it's uncommon to see achievements retiring. They'll retire during a plot, or sometimes if a site feature has changed. (Example, the "Heart Collector" achievement retired after candy hearts started going out via kissing, rather than via profiles.) So outside of a plot, it's really quite hard to figure out what achievements will retire. But you should be okay. When spring hits, the winter section of the Millionaire Center will become more expensive, but the items won't leave. The quest shop seasonals will go away, but will return next winter. Cash Shop is something to keep an eye out for, but staff tries to keep cash shop oriented achievements to a lower number.

My recommendation for how to tackle the achievements is to start going by sections and getting a feel for what's there. And, use the wishlist!!! So, I have reading books as one of my site targets, and am only missing a handful of the book achievements. For all the books I have missing, I added them to my wishlist early on, to keep track if one was to be re-released. (That being said, I also have the rest of my missing books in another wishlist category. But that took a while, and a lot of list-sorting on SubetaLodge to compile.) But you can do the same for plushies and beanbags- start going through and purchasing cheap things, and wishlisting anything more expensive. For wardrobe achievements, you can typically find a lender somewhere for any of those hard-to-get items.

Additionally, looking through the holiday sections is a good way to try to direct your holiday focus on what you need to accomplish. So Masq and Vesnali are next up, and there are plenty of holiday shop specific achievements floating around in the other sections.

@ Bull Most item achievements won't retire, even if the items do. And I would do everything that suggests, like making a separate wishlist category for achievements so that you remember what you need and most importantly, why.

And I can think of a couple of specific holidays that do retire but they happen in October and December, so I'm not sure if stating them helps now since they're so far away.

And I can probably make a noob forum if you want. I've only 2 out of 3. I can call it "Bull's Corner" or something. :P

I made it! I made several achievements, too, though my final infection finished three hours and nineteen minutes too late for me to pick up a fifth strain.

That's a darn shame. D: My ended a couple of days - in fact, I'm surprised I could bite at all during the last day, I though it would be slower than that.

It bites being just hours shy though.
