Thanks, though I think it might be done soon, I mentioned it in general updates and Amber said she'd be able to do it.
Seems the most appropriate place to post this: The customisable sidebar can have a lot of useful stuff in it, but each section starts expanded, and some sections are very long. I'd like to be able to set some sections to default collapsed.
Well, the coin machine has been added to the games page now, so that can be taken off the list
Thanks! I added it to my list!
This suggestion was also implemented (and the chance wasn't just lowered, it was killed off completely): 16. Lower the chance of the coin machine giving the "Oh, look! The coin popped back out!" outcome
Hmm, I always have a couple of sections collapsed by default. I just checked and it works fine for me, even with all customCSS disabled. Are there any particular sections you're having trouble with or are you using a weird browser/device?
I'm using firefox (original branch) on desktop, so I doubt that's it. I do have a couple of security scripts, but I already have subeta whitelisted by the more aggressive one, and I've already tried disabling them to no success.
I've noticed that if I collapse a section (Navigation, usually, because it's long and pushes all the others off the screen), it'll stay collapsed for a while before suddenly becoming expanded again. It doesn't expand on a page (displaying the animation), I'll just notice as I'm navigating that it's back.
I do use it to navigate the site, and I can collapse it with a click. It isn't a huge inconvenience (hence posting here and not elsewhere), but it would be nice to figure out why this is happening.
Hmm, I haven't experienced anything like that myself. The only similar issues I've had (widgets getting moved or opened/closed) have definitely been caused by my wrist or butterfingers when I use my iPad. x)
As this sounds more like a bug than a suggestion I have to direct you to the P&B forums, but as you say it's relatively minor and widgets are (sadly) getting phased out, I can't see it getting addressed unless it becomes a more prevalent issue. :c
-- Alternatively, I do recall that my old iPad would clear my cache/cookies all the time and that all widgets always appeared open when I used that, even the ones I have permanently closed. Could that be your issue?
I agree that it isn't worth reporting as a bug since the feature as a whole is getting killed soon.
I do have a script that automatically clears cookies on a regular basis. I didn't realise widget expansion was stored client-side, I assumed it would be a server-side issue. That explains it, thanks.
Ah, glad that we've solved it! Hopefully it won't bug you too much if you keep clearing your cookies. xD
On the bottom of the news page, we get this:
But when I'm looking for old news, for some reason I always click on the left first, when news that just fell off the page is actually on the right. It would be nice if there was an indication of what is older news and what is newer years, maybe like:
The numbers on their own just don't mean much.
Added, thanks!
Removed from suggestions due to 's post here:
This was implemented (and I love it, thank you Bug!): 3. Add which vault category an item belongs to when searching with account search (e.g. 3 found in your Vault (Baking)| (Remove One) (Remove all))
Pets: The active pet headshot and/or name in user hovers should be a link to the pet's profile.
That's a good idea! Added, thanks. c:
Could you please add:
Games or Miscellaneous - If you've already visited the Ikumoradeekanox for the day, have the 'You already took something from Ikumoradeekanox today!' message appear when you go to the tree. Currently, if you've already been to the tree, forget, and go again, the button to pick something is still there. You click it, and then the message shows up. It would be nice if the message were there without having to click the button.
Oof. I've fallen behind. Finally caught up! Thanks Bug and Skolletta!
Trades suggestion: A "wishlist search" button/link (like we have in user shops) that would show every trade that contains at least one of your wishlist items.
Wow, I would use that /daily/ if there were enough new trades to warrant it. O_O Added, thanks!
Right? I love skimming trades for wishlist because sometimes I find other players who like to trade for WL who don't frequent the advertising forums. I'd have never found them otherwise! I caught myself doing it earlier and remembered how frustrating it is to try to skim for wishlist during holiday events. Too many cheap holiday items to wade through. I usually just give up until the event ends but a wishlist search would mean that I don't have to avoid trades during events anymore.
