I do, too. Being a fan of the literature, I have to admit being disappointed with the Hobbit movies as compared to the books.

That happens when you try to fit 3 movies into a single, small book... Lot's of unnecessary, imaginary, weird story parts...

From what I understand, most of the extra content came from The Book of Lost Tales. Still, there were things in The Hobbit that they didn't even use, so...yeah.

Maybe there will be a proper remake one day (: I heard something about a planned TV show being based in the Tolkien universe but I am a bit scared they will disgrace this legacy :/

Yeah, that is simultaneously exciting and potentially very disappointing. The Shannara Series tv show wasn't very well done. Did you hear that Netflix is going to redo The Dark Crystal? I'm super excited for that one.

Maybe it won't even reach Germany though... The Netflix here is not as good as the US one, a lot of movies and shows are released a lot later and some never /:

That's unfortunate. Netflix definitely thrives in the US. It's overtaking regular tv here.

I think the same goes for German TV as well, but that mostly comes from the devistatingly poor quality of German TV xD I only started watching TV shows when I got myself a Netflix account

I don't pay for tv either. We have Netflix and movies that I own. Otherwise, we read, play card games, listen to music, or do things outside if the weather is nice enough.

Is everything fine? ^^ Well, the first semester was tough, lots to do and a lot of pressure but I love my room mates and the gang at university - The classes are interesstng and if everything goes as planned I'll fly to the UK in July to celebrate my cousin's wedding, I'll fly to China in August to visit a friend in Beijing and fly to Moscow with my new roommate, who is Russian in August as well (: That of course means that I will probably be eating pasta and tomato sauce for the next half year but if that's what it takes I'm willing to do so xD

I'm quite fine. My first semester will start on Wednesday (math course) and I'm excited about that xD Wow, sounds great. I hope you will have an awesome time and a lot of new impressions :D
