Zoe nodded. "Aye I did," she showed her the whale card and the little note. "I love puns too. Ye think so? He's a sweet boy I think."
"Maybe ye can make it look like a quaffle to make the joke slightly more obvious. It's a cute one though."
"Hey Jona," Zoe said to the newly arrived boy. "Hey Duncan, hello Clark." She smiled. "How's Clark fitting in?" She giggled when Lewis didn't want to share his shinny object. "Aye," she said simply.
Fade was of course late, but not without reason. He hurriedly made his way down toward the gazebo. As long as it had taken him to put together an interesting outfit, it took him twice as long the night before to transfigure the quartz crystal into the flower he held in his hand. Thankfully it appeared that he hadn’t missed everything, there was still a decent crowd to scan. Stepping under the threshold of the gazebo the warm atmosphere hit him, and he had to stop and catch his breath.
Looking over the room Fade spotted a few friends, but was looking for someone in particular. He wasn’t quite used to her hair color yet, but the sound of her voice was unmistakable. A few tables in, he spotted sitting with friends and wound his way over toward her. Standing just behind her shoulder. He leaned over and held the transfigured flower out so she would see it before she could catch his eye. “Sorry I’m late.” He said from over her shoulder. “Be my Valentine?” He hadn’t ever had a girlfriend, and so he had never had reason to properly celebrate this particular holiday. Hopefully he wasn’t screwing it up too badly. Of course being late probably wasn’t a good way to start.
((I’m going to try and be able to respond before the event ends!! Sorry I missed most of it DX))
Sauvage was talking to Jona about Duncan's favorite treats and Clark's most recent mischievous escapades when a beautiful quartz rose appeared in front of her and she heard Fade's voice from behind her. She gasped and turned around to find him in stunning attire and suddenly felt embarrassed for how obviously they were acting as a couple - forgetting that River and Merlin had just danced in front of everyone only moments ago. She gave Fade a quick peck on the lips and, grabbing one of his hands with both or hers, led him to the other side of the gazebo where there was no conspicuous audience.
"'ello," Sauvage said to Fade as she bashfully looked up at him from beneath her eyelashes. She stood there like that for a few seconds before she remembered where they were and why she had pulled him aside. "Oh! So I, um, I got you a gift?" As she said it, the sentence turned into a question, because she hoped he did not mind her initiative in bringing him something. Going elbow deep in her little handbag, Sauvage first pulled out a sketch book and then a narrow box with an iridescent quill inside. After Fade took both items, she explained her reasoning: "I charmed ze bos of zese. I picked zat quill in particular, because if you 'old it up to ze light, it flashes different colors and it reminded me of your 'air." She laughed nervously then, and began twisting her own blue hair in her hands. "But I enchanted it so zat whatever you draw wiv it will 'ave an added sensory effect. For example, if you draw a pineapple, ze paper will smell of pineapples and if you touch ze paper, it will 'ave zat prickly sensation of touching a pineapple." She was now talking to her feet as she finished. "And ze sketchbook, I will be 'onest, was more for my own pleasure zen yours. I synchrinized it wiv a sketchbook in my posession so zat when you draw in zis one, I can see your process in ze one I own. I sought....I sought it might be nice to watch you draw wivout you feeling ze nerves of my standing right zere." Finally, she was done talking and looked up at Fade while chewing her lip nervously to gauge his response.
@/Raven Jona let an annoyed breath when Zoe asked about Clark. "The little monster - all he does it steal everything in my room and hoard it in his raccoon nest beneath my bed. I couldn't find my socks the other day, because apparently I am so poor that Clark has just settled for stealing anything that is the color of gold. I'M A HUFFLEPUFF!" He threw his hands in the air dramatically and fell back into his chair. "Everything I own is yellow!" He sighed and turned back to Duncan, waiting patiently at his feet. "At least she is well-behaved and loves me." Duncan barked at the remark and nuzzled her face in the crook of Jona's knee. He picked her up, since she was still a pup and relatively small, and casually ran his fingers through her fur.
Before Fade knew it he was being pulled away and followed without resistance. Stunned a bit by her lips touching his, but trying to play it off like no big deal. Although the ends of his hair betrayed his feelings and blushed a bright shade of red. His eyes lit up when she handed him the sketch book and quill. “Wow, that’s epic!” He held the quill up and marveled at the colors cascading through the plume. “You’re really talented. Guess my flower isn’t really up to par.” He laughed and pulled Sauvage into a hug.
“That was very thoughtful of you, I appreciate it.” He inhaled the smell of her shampoo and a slight hint of perfume. Releasing his grip on her, he pushed some hair out of his eyes and took a moment to admire her outfit. Playfully he reached up and batted at the flowers she wore in her hair. “You look amazing today, by the way.” Not that she needed anyone to tell her, still he felt she deserved a compliment. “Sorry again, I didn’t mean to be so late.” His cheeks flushed and he looked away, finally taking in the setup of the gazebo and actually processing who was here and who wasn’t present. ()
Upon seeing Fade's reaction, she beamed with happiness and could not stop. Not to mention she melted in his arms when he hugged her. Unable to help it, she giggled at the closeness then quickly nudged him, a bit irritated that he would make fun of his own gift. "I love it! It is beautiful, really. I will keep it right beside my bed so it is ze first sing zat I see when I wake in ze morning."
She curtsied when he complimented her outfit and then gave him one in return: "I love your outfit, too. It reminds of ze Prince Charming outfit you wore when we first met, but now you are...bad." She winked playfully at him then laughed. "And please, after knowing you for zis long, you sink I still expect you to be on time? I want you to know, Fade, zat I am never waiting for you. Nor should you ever wait for me." She leaned in to give him another quick kiss, but remembering his reaction to the last one thought better of it and just grabbed his hand instead. "Want to 'ead back to ze ozers?"
Lenore followed along and joined the table where the majority of the students were seated, a variety of supplies in her arms. She waited until after the announcement about the crafts had been announced and then greeted the others.
"Hello Sauvage (), it's good to see you again." She gives the girl a grin. Right then, Sauvage's attention is taken by Fade () who is wearing a rather dark but elegant outfit. She smiles knowingly as the couple leave together.
"Zoe(), how are you?" She notices a little brown fluffball and recognizes it as a niffler. It seems to be attracted to her outfit which has quite a lot of gold detail. She pats the niffler's head and then pulls a galleon from her purse and hands it quietly to him. "Now behave yourself, cutie."
Looking back at the table, she smiles around. "Hi Jona, hi Millie (). She gives Merlin () a big smile, glad to see the boy, though he seems to be quite busy with his cards at the moment. Poppy () was at the table too and Lenore was happy to spend some more time with the Head Girl.
Lenore set down her supplies and spread them out to examine them. Who would she make Valentines for? And could she come up with any decent poetry while there was so much chatter going on? She doubted it but that was ok. She could always add that in later.
Looking to her side, she stifled a laugh and quickly looked down at the table. The sight of Corvus () surrounded by pink and red craft supplies was almost too much for her. The dragon that he had created was truly impressive though. Actually, so were many of the other creatures that the group was creating.
Having composed herself again, Lenore refilled her coffee with her wand and picked up a piece of paper. She knew of at least one person she wanted to send a card to. Actually, she hadn't seen the boy since the Slytherin outing to the Christmas Market. ()
(( Feel free to come back and join us :) ))

"Hey Jona (), pull up a chair." Millie greeted her friend. "Yes, she just gave us a poetry challenge. I'm not a poetry person. I show my affection by making baked goods and being there for people.
"Oh, good idea, Zoe (). I like it" She took her wand out and tapped it, changing the white to red. She then took a pair of scissors and cut it in a round shape with the indents. "I think he'll like it. He'll like it even more if I send some cookies with it" said with a laugh
While Millie was working on the card, Fade () joined the group. "Hi Fade. How are you?" she asked. Just as she was asking about Fade, Lenore () walked up. "Hello Lenore. It's nice to see you. How have you been?"
"Thanks, Millie. Hey Lenore!" Jona smiled happily, but quickly became concerned as he heard a disconcerting noise. Clark the niffler was throwing a fit in the middle of the table after seeing Lenore give Lewis a galleon. His squeaking was manic and his rage was obvious as the little magical creature started shredding paper across the table, making his way towards Lewis.
"Oh no..." Jona groaned. "Come on, Clark. You're fine. Here, want a penny?" Jona pulled the muggle change out of his pocket, skipping it across the table to land in front of Clark. The little niffler promptly picked up the coin, chewed on it, and made an unhappy huff. He then threw it angrily at Jona; the coin landed smack! between his eyes. "Jeez..." Jona said in a defeated tone.
Millie laughed at Clark, Jona's () nibbler. "Here, Clark, I have just the thing for you." she said as she picked up a handful of various sequins that were on the table for card decorating." she offered the handful with her palm open. "It's okay. you can take them all"
Clark the niffler looked at Millie suspiciously. She was just giving these to him? All of them? At what price? But, his hesitancy didn't last long, for the lights under the gazebo hit the sequins just so and made them irresistible to Clark. The little niffler tottered over to the pile Millie prepared and with a few running spurts, he managed to demonstrate a perfect canon ball into the colorful crafting gems where he curled up to take a nap, like a dragon guarding its treasure. Once Clark was letting loose tiny mews of sleeps, Jona finally spoke: "ohmygodTHANKYOU," he said in one breath directed to Millie.
"Aww, I'm sorry," Zoe said feeling bad. She found Lewis' antics hilarious. Now she wondered if Jona had known what nifflers were like. "I'm sure he loves ye too. But I'm glad she's nee giving ye trouble as well."
"Doing well, thank ye. And ye?" She smiled when Lenore gave Lewis the galleon. He took it quickly, sniffed and then cooed. He tucked it into his pouch and looked very happy. "Aww thank ye. Been using him as a piggy bank. Haven't lost me money yet, but getting it back, now that's another story." She giggled.
"Ah, yes it's perfect now." Zoe looked at Millie's card. "I like it." She giggled. "Everything is better with snacks."
Zoe managed not to laugh at Clark's outrage, though she thought it was totally adorable. When Millie saved the day with the sequins, Zoe smiled. "Poor little Clark. He wanted treasure too."
Jona doodled a crappy Version of his niffler in the margins of his paper. Feeling more than finished with his attempt at poetry, he nudged the sheet to Zoe for her to read: A Niffler, they said. Caution: wallet will be wrecked. It'll be fun, they said. Guess it's a side effect Where fun meets dread.
Zoe giggled at the little poem. "I like it. I did nee bother with the poetry. Do... do you nee like having a niffler?" she braved asking.
"Noooo! I love Clark -" at the sound of his name, the Niffler gave a start and quickly looked around at the group of humans surrounding him and his glittery mound. Breathing fast, he began pumping his arms away, stuffing the sequins into his pouch by the handfuls. Once he'd successfully collected every piece, Clark scurried up Jona's arm and slipped back under his shirt through the neck hole. Jona continued: "He is just a lot to handle is all."
Fade grinned at Sauvage. “Shh, everyone will know.” He laughed and pulled her hand to his lips. “As you wish.” He winked, wondering if she would get the reference.
Back at the table, Fade dutifully pulled out the chair for Sauvage and took the one beside her. “Sorry to interrupt. Sup Jona? Hey Zoe.” He grinned at the first year and his housemate, and smiled apologetically at Lenore across the table who had been talking with Sauvage before he arrived. “Heya Millie, I’m great what about you?” He set the sketchbook and quill carefully on the table as opposed to the way he would treat any regular old sketchbook. This one was clearly special.
( and anyone else around)
Millie laughed at Clark and smiled warmly at Jona (), "You're welcome. When I was a kid, I used to beg my parents for a niffler. I'm kind of glad they didn't let me have one. As cute as they are, they can be little buggers. They are fascinating though" she said she Clark awake and started shoving the sequins in his pouch.
"Everything is better with snacks" she agreed with Zoe (). "He really enjoys my mum's chocolate chunk cookies. I usually make enough for him to share with his friends, but I'm not sure if he does. He probably hides them somewhere in his dorm.
She turned her attention back to Fade () "I'm doing all right, thanks for asking. Tired, from all the homework and studying. I take my owls next term, so I've been studying for them while studying for my usual exams.
Zoe was relieved. "Ooh, okay. Yeah nifflers are a lot of work sometimes. My dorm mates are all pretty good at summoning charms by now." She grinned.
Zoe smiled at Fade. "Hello. I see ye are looking well. Just telling Jona how ye are getting really good at summoning things in the common room when Lewis takes them. I'm helping people learn." She cackled and snorted.
Zoe giggled. "Maybe Emmett is part niffler and instead of shinny things he hoards chocolate."
((OOC: i totally get the reference, but Sauvage would not))
Sauvage looked quizzically at Fade; she could tell he was trying to reference something but could not tell what. That, and the moment his lips touched her hand an electric current shot up her arm, causing her to blush and feel very flustered.
"I, um, er - yes...?" She wandered back with him to the table in a daze and thanked him when he pulled out a chair for her. It took her a few moments to return to her senses and when she did, she talked to Lenore: "So, 'ow 'ave you been, Lenore?" Sauvage smiled sweetly, still blushing slightly. She felt silly, but she could not help it.
Jona blinked, having not even considered that Clark could be stealing things from his roommates. He made a mental note to go through Clark's stash under the bed when he got back. He was about to ask Zoe and Millie if they had any spells they'd recommend to keep Clark from getting into the least amount of trouble when he began uncontrollably laughing and pulling at his shirt. "CLARK! STOOOOP!" The little creature was scurrying across Jona's torso in circles, probably trying to find a place to nestle where he could safely admire his treasure. Immediately, Jona jumped up from the table, wiggling and jiggling around, trying to catch the niffler while unable to stop laugh.

Elizabeth smiled at Millie and the card she made for her boyfriend. () "That looks sweet. I bet he will like it.", she said and her eyes wandered over to the little Niffler that belonged to Zoe. () "He's a cutie", Elizabeth said, watching the Niffler in amusement.
Corvus was feeling a little unwell, being surrounded mostly by girls and pink stuff. He looked up from his teacup as he heard a faint laughter and his eyes found Lenore. ()
But he was too polite to say anything. His eyes then followed the Niffler running over the table and gave a sniff at it. He thought it was pretty unhygienic that an animal was running around the plates with the food and was about to say something, when he was asked a question.
He looked over to the French girl, his face turning more friendly and then nodded. ()
"Yes, I had an appointment with British Ministry of Magic . It's my last year at Ilvermorny and I want to work in Britain. As the ministry takes some time...I'll be in London for awhile, so Elizabeth and I decided to meet."
He finally drank from his teacup when he saw a tuft of brown fur and he remembered what had bothered him. What was the girl's name? She had said it was her niffler. But now, there were even more nifflers at the table. He bit his lip because he knew it was rather impolite to adress someone without knowing his or her name.
"Is it possible to make sure that your niffler won't touch the food?", he asked, his voice as civil as possible, but rather stiff.
(OOC; sorry for being so quite, had a lot of work to do :< )
Millie laughed at Zoe's () comment. "Knowing him, that in entirely possible. He loves chocolate."
She smiled at Elizabeth, "thank you. I hope so. I know he'll enjoy the cookies that come with it"
She looked at Corvus. She could tell he was feeling uncomfortable. "Do you know what you want to do, once you finish at Ilvermorny? My boyfriend is in his last year at Durmstrang and came to visit not too long ago. He was in London for a few days but had to get back to Durmstrang. The ministry told him it was fine, as long as he returned when they were ready for him. We want to be curse breakers."
She turned her attention back to Clark when he jumped onto Jona () and started crawling all over him. She sat and had a good belly laugh, eventually snorting, which made her laugh even more.
