No, this one is a little bigger. Not really big yet larger than the Ornitholestes in size. ;-)

- The head shape is throwing me off. I'm having a hard time matching it to anything.
- Oooh, what about a Kritosaurus?
The dino in the puzzle doesn't have spikes. I love your determination! Take your time! I am sure you'll find out.

All the ones that I'm finding that seem to fit are the same size or smaller than the Ornitholestes 😭
oh, you told us to go by colour, which means it must be Sinosauropteryx, because that's the only one we know which colour it is ^-^ i even said in an earlier post that we know they have bands like a raccoon!!
Not quiet yet good guesses. More hints: The time period of this dinosaur was late Jurassic. It has a beak.
(if nobody finds out in the next 2 hours, I´ll post another hint. ^-^)

an Oviraptorosaur?
The whole color/beak/time period thing is throwing me off, and when I think I’ve found one that fits, one of those criteria will be wrong.
- Camptosaurus?
I am afraid, not. ^-^
The clade is Iguanodontia, yes. Yet the name is another one. ^-^
New hint: The saur was named by: Othniel Charles Marsh :-)

You have to find a solution word so please only post this word here and NOT the names of the 6 dinosaurs! You'll find the solution word by marking down the following letters: Last letter, 4th letter, 7th letter, 8th letter, 8th letter, 4th letter. From which word you take each letter is yours to choose yet only choose one letter from every dino name. Scrambling them, you'll find the solution word which is the name of a dinosaur species. Good luck! ^-^
PRIZE:

Welp, this one's going to be hard ^^
Is it raptor? ...suchus or saurus (idk if those are even dinosaur species)
okay, I'm turning in for the night. hopefully I got it right!
so far the only word i've been able to make is scruto, but that seems a little obscure?
edit: that doesn't fit the one letter from each word nvm
also missed that it was a dino species lol
ok trying to ping you again bc all 6 letter dinosaur species don't fit the 1 letter per word requirement, neither does any of the solutions shadowyice put forth. "raptor" seems like it'd be perfect except none of the 3rd letters are in the word. so i'm wondering if it's a nickname/not a proper dinosaur name?
