I didn't put ribs in mine though i only put boneless pork shoulder and I trimmed off some of the fat, I think that when I pureed the chiles I should of added like 2 more garlic cloves and more salt ( I always have a hard time with how much salt I put in) I also didn't put lettuce as a garnish but cabbage ;p it's really flavorful. I think the worst thing was trying to use the sifter to push the chili sauce through it xD

that sounds so good :D maybe I will try to make it, I like trying new things and lately me and my bro have been cooking a lot and trying to stay away from take out.

due to having a low income (me and my hubby both work in socual jobs and they are not so well paid) e do not do a lot of take outs for us and the children

but the kids get to choose a meal one day a week (which means 3 days of things like burger/fries/pizza - and then the two days one vegetarian and one vegan ) and saturday we always have soup - since it's easy to prepare

Sunday either way we do a takout or my hubby gets to choose a meal ( and that means vegetarian)

That sounds like my house. I have 2 roommates who are more like family to me and we do pick days too. So there are days that its with meat, vegetarian and some days vegan! That's neat that there are other families that do the same.

it is easier that way. Otherwise one kid or the other is always complaining

and even if we do a bolognese I have to do a vegan variation, since one of the kids is vegan

and my hubby tries to eat meat only 2 days a week and almost no sugar

there is NO way to get that with takeout

and I think if the kids are old enough (and ours are) and they choose to be vegetarian/vegan I have nor right to force them to eat meat

but it's funny that other people do that, also.

I remember when I was little (I have 3 brothers and a sister) we always complained about the food, also.

One day my mom cooked 5 dishes (one for each of us) and put all of them in a big bow and mixed them it was NOT yummy I can tell you!

Lol sounds like your mom had just had enough! Well 1 roommate is a meat eater bad but he has hit 30 and put weight on and so now he listens to me lol and is ok with the veggie nights. The other is just a big stocky guy. His family is from the Russian/Croatian decent so he is wide and he is almost 35 and needs to watch what he puts in his body too. So I have my way now bwhahah. But I give in 2 days a week. 1 is meat day the other is take away day. I just love finding new people and you see their way of life and see the differences and even the similar! I'm a weird people watcher I admit it.
