I don't know about the story. I played the first one and loved it but only like 2 times since I didn't have a playstation. I had the ds game but honestly it wasn't much to write home about so really hoping this one is like the first one.

We got the snow they were forecasting:

I would have some photos of the street, but the snow is blowing against the windows so it's not possible to take photos through them at the moment :P As usual, we're treated like an outlying village by the council - the road hasn't been gritted (but apparently it's not been gritted in the city centre either o.O), so there's no bus service or deliveries (milkman gave up before he got here I think). You wouldn't think we were about a mile from the city centre!

Now that you mention it, I briefly tried that ds version too, and didnt like it all that much. Found the controls very clunky, I reckon this will be many times better. :)

Sounds like you been a busy Raven. xD I had a couple of errands today, and electrician that fixed the termostat on the heating cables for my bathroom floor (or however you would say that lol).

Wow, that is quite a bit of snow! We had some snow this winter, but not that much :)

admittedly it was blowing around quite a bit, so probably is wasn't really as deep as the bird bath made it look! Some of it has now melted, but they're forecasting clear skies and probably about -2C tonight, so it'll freeze over. I'm not too fussed though, as I don't need to go out tomorrow laughs

To be honest, I don't think we'll see a gritting lorry around here - they're forecasting it to be much milder on Monday, so I reckon the council will just wait until the snow melts naturally.... we get a grit bin for our road (as we're on such a steep hill and it's a no-through-road), but so far nobody's put any grit on the road so I guess nobody in the street needs to be at work today either! ;)

admittedly most places shut yesterday - all the schools were closed, and most shops shut early if they opened at all. its so annoying when it freezes! It always happen around here, and it can make getting around very difficult. :P I was sliding all over the place at times at my last walk. :P

Having said I didn't need to go out, I walked with dad to the supermarket to get my grandparents some milk and a couple of other things we needed ;)

I'd thought before about getting some of those spikes you can attach to your shoes for icy weather.... but when I was out, there were two people walking in front of me who had those on their shoes, and they were sliding about more than I was o.O

Once I've got my phone sorted (I dropped it on the snow earlier, so I need to give it a clean off and check it didn't get wet inside), I'll upload some of the photos of the roads. There was a lot more ice in places than I'd anticipated!

Not too bad to start with, although the pavement was quite icy

Getting round to the parts of the road which don't get sunlight - this bit was quite icy in the road as well

We didn't go down this road, as it looked a bit too adventurous to attempt....

The alternative route to the supermarket looked ok to start with, but half way down, this is what we were faced with.... ....pure ice on the tyre tracks, and also down the middle of the road plus the pavement :K

Looking back up that road - no way was I going to go back that way!

On the way back, we came back up the one we chose not to walk down earlier there was more snow than ice on that road, so it made it easier to walk up ;)

Yeah I didn’t keep it too long myself either. :/ I would’ve loved to have had fun, but I never went. My tummy decided to make me sick instead. I cried when mum left without me. Hope you have fun :)

On Friday the roads in town looked much like that, but by yesterday the main roads were clear although all the side roads around here (and the main routes to get to the main road) were still as icy as anything. They'd cleared it so the bus service could run, but they still skipped our area completely.... not sure if they're running today either, as I haven't heard a bus go past yet.
