- I learned later on after watching the whole series that the author/creator died in 2004. I think there are books out there that might continue the story. I confessed that I cried at the end of Chrono Crusade.
I didn't know there were so many Yu Yu Hakusho fans here ^.^
Cowboy Bebop, Chrono Crusade, Witch Hunter Robin, Trigun and Black Lagoon were good animes as well :)
As with Rurouni Kenshin, I liked both the manga and the anime. The OVAs were okay, I guess... '^^
Yeah ;_; I remember when I found out after watching it that the original author/creator of Trinity Blood had already died and there would be no more. It was such a wonderful story, such a shame... and ahhhh, the ending for Chrono - I cry every time. Any time I need a tearjerker I play the last few episodes and I'm just bawling by the end :'D
Of course! YYH is the best! Haha, it's one of the first animes I ever watched back when I was a kiddo. I haven't watched it in ages, but I can still recall most of it pretty well. Ahhhh, maybe I just need to marathon me some Yu Yu Hakusho next weekend. xD
And, lol, I just really like Kenshin's bloody/dark past, so the OVAs really appealed to me. It throws me off a bit every time I watch them because the art styles are different.
i actually just binge watched all of the madoka series and movies it was so amazing!! I cant wait for another movie!
and thank you for all of the suggestions! my to watch list is getting full again haha :D
I also loved Madoka Magica, but I see that you've seen that now haha. I do have to +1 Tiger & Bunny. It's this goofy superhero anime, it's really charming and always reminds me a little of The Incredibles. The cast is really likable (I can't think of a single character I dislike outside of a few 'meant to be hated' villains), the plot is a lot of fun and has some great twists, and it's one of the only animes that has ever really made me laugh. I really love the rivalry-to-ambiguously-gay-friendship going on with the main characters and I think the development is really enjoyable.
If you can handle dark, violent things and have an interest in complicated plots, I cannot recommend Psycho-Pass enough. The first season and the movie were amazing! Great animation, interesting characters, and fantastic writing with some very deep, thought-provoking themes. It blew my mind a number of times and I couldn't get enough of it. I'm currently watching the first season with my mom and she's loving it (though she can't handle more than one or two episodes a day because she finds the plot overwhelming, lol.)
And if you're into nonstop despair with some hope sprinkled here and there... at the risk of seeming very '2013 Tumblr', Attack on Titan is my very favorite anime. It actually has some legitimately good character development, I swear lol. I just got done rewatching the full first season and then watching the second season for the first time, after a few years removed from the series thanks to my love/hate relationship with the ongoing manga. It was an absolute blast. Some very emotionally affecting moments, fantastic voice-acting in the subbed version (I literally rewatched one part of the final episode of s2 15 times in a row because Yuki Kaji's voice-acting was so fucking good, I had to experience it over and over again), gorgeous animation, and the plot is... silly but interesting, I think? Also, just, the characters can be really fantastically done. They're all very flawed but have their great moments and even characters that have done objectively terrible things are incredibly sympathetic. I love the cast a lot.
Uhh... I also enjoyed the first season of Tokyo Ghoul... I liked Death Note when I was younger, if for some reason you've never watched that... and I enjoyed watching Terror in Resonance even if it got kind of weird. Those are all pretty dark though, lol, I feel like Tiger & Bunny is the only light-hearted anime I've watched really. Ahaha whoops s:

Some of my absolute favorites include:
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Bobobo-bo-bobobo Kill La Kill FLCL Space Dandy Devilman Crybaby Fruits Basket (more into the manga tho since it goes on longer) Naruto Angel Beats Madoka Magica Hell Girl Azumanga Daioh!
Here's my current list (it's pretty damn long tbh)
Uta no Prince-sama Disastrous Life of Saiki K The Seven Deadly Sins Persona 5 the animation Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (NEEEED THAT PART 5 ANIME NOW) Saiyuki Osomatsu-san Pop Team Epic the Castlevania anime
I honestly can't think of any more right now, but the list is waaaaay longer.

My favourite anime ... ooooh thats a hard choice ... but here is a few in no particular order
Clannad and Clannad After Story Angel Beats Death Note Fairy Tail Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Elfen Lied Mirai Nikki (Future Diary) Blood-C My Hero Acadamia Dragon Ball/Z/Super (Screw GT .. we dont talk about GT) Food Wars Erased Toradora

Thats just some ... I enjoy so many different anime> I love different anime for different moods. Sometimes I want to watch a romantic comedy that's sweet and makes me laugh .. other times I want blood and death.
A few of my favorites (in no particular order) are:

I LOVE MADOKA MAGICA!! AND KILL LA KILL TOO, HUG ME!!
My faves are probably Kill la Kill and Naruto, I guess. Also used to love Wolf's Rain when I was a lil kiddo.
