(my grandpa had a wolf/german sheppard cross and he was amazingly smart, beautiful, adored my grandfather, and while not friendly like a normal dog, he was very tolerant of children poking, pulling and otherwise "bothering" him.)

He sounds like he was a super good boy! My issue isn't so much with trusting a wolfdog (I feel I have a pretty good way with animals), but more with potential legal complications. For example, I read that even though ordinary canine vaccines work on them, even a vaccinated wolfdog will be treated as a rabies hazard and will be required to be put down if it bites someone for any reason (sorry but sometimes people deserve to get bitten, it's not always a problem with the dog). Just don't need any more complications in my life than I've already got. :P

Anyway, leave it! I like some of the zapper skins too much. Plus getting zapped is fun.
