I'm REALLY excited to hear about forum pulse coming back. That was a great way to find new threads to contribute to the conversation. And it would certainly be helpful for these forum giftbox events.

When exactly was this change to the avatar cache made? It could be completely unrelated to what you're talking about but my avatar has just been misbehaving... over the past few days maybe a week my avatar has been constantly reverting back to the previous version of it, no matter how much I hard refresh and clear my cache. For instance when I changed my avatar completely it kept loading my old avatar every other page or so. And when I got hit by a snowball it was flickering between the regular av and the av with the snowball on it every other page as well.

Thanks for the update, it's always good to have informations about the problems that caused site lags and errors and , also if the majority part of the people ( like me) don't understand about coding, it makes us feel part of the crew :) Wish you all great holidays :)

- thank you for the update and all the technical information about what you are doing with the servers. This is very exciting news! Better server building and better monitoring should both help make Subeta much more robust (and be very helpful to you and the staff when something does go wrong). I love that you will be able to see exactly which line of code takes longest. And having new code result in a new server instance with all the new packages is fantastic. All the work on caching to improve overall site performance is also much appreciated. And i am very pleased to hear that features are now going to be able to be turned on and off without new coding. That also should be extremely helpful going forward and save tons of time when anything bad happens somewhere. Really happy to see all these things being done to improve Subeta.
