I have read and re-read the The Last Herald-Mage trilogy by Mercedes Lackey so many times. I recently repurchased the books as I'd left them behind in North Carolina when I moved.
Your post made me... I don't want to say sad, but tears welled... My mother died not too long ago, and although we were always good friends, reading with her are amongst my happiest memories. My sincerest condolences, no matter how long she's been away.
On a happier note, and on subject, I'm actually finishing the final book in my favorite series, Wheel of Time. I couldn't have known when a friend told me to read it that I'd be so drawn in! I've re-read the series (14 huge books) a bunch of times. It still makes me anxious, happy, sad, excited... They're good.
I love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, and Sue Grafton's Alphabet Mysteries (Kinsey Millhone series). There are quite a few books in both series, so I mostly just go between them because you forget most of the storylines haha. I'm a big fan of comedy/mystery books. I love the strong, yet slightly uncoordinated heroine. Also Lisa Lutz and Kathryn Ledson are good too! And for anyone who likes supernatural, ghostie type books, Victoria Laurie has a ghost hunting series that is amazing!
I love the Book´s from Stephen King, "It" with the Horror Clown Pennywise is my favorite, a very thick book but written so exciting, i could not stop reading.
At the Moment i do not read so much because i am so often at Subeta :D
Sadly I'm not reading much anymore. Too much TV and compute :-(
Ive read Tabitha Lee"s Electric Forest quite a few times
- That's awesome - both that you donate your time to such a great place and that you've impacted this little girl. You're definitely helping to foster an interest in reading. :) What did you enjoy about the Giver? I haven't read any of the Wrinkle in Time trilogy actually, but it seems interesting!
- That was just lovely to read. It's wonderful that Harry Potter brought you two so much closer together.
- Oooo, I haven't read Aldous Huxley's work beyond a few random passages, but After Many a Summer Dies the Swan is on my list. :)
I'm reading Carry On at the moment! It's awesome, I can't believe I didn't pick it up earlier xD. It's been sitting on my ebook shelf for a year and a half.
I'm also rereading Call Me By Your Name atm. God. Who's slicing onions in here ;-;. First read it ages and ages ago, I think just about when the news of a movie was announced- rereading it now cuz I finally watched the movie ;-;. GNjfngkfd.
Even at my age I still enjoy the Little House series of books. :)
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.

Its a series called Sweeps it was about a bunch of teen aged witches i read it years and years ago but will sometimes go back and read it again
Some of my favorite kids books that I still like as an adult are the classics like A Wrinkle in Time and the Chronicles of Narnia :) As an adult I love Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy and my all time favorite author is Karen Marie Moning (she writes Highlanders and another series a bit darker is her Fever series). Her mind is so epic and brilliant I'd love to have just 1/4th of her talent for writing :) Some other PNR favorites are Kresley Cole, JR Ward, Gena Showalter, Christopher Paolini (Eragon series), Sherrilyn Kenyon etc :) Larissa Ione :) Meep!
Reading back there's actually 5 books in the Wrinkle in time series :D I bought it as a boxed type set (in case you were interested) A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly tilting planet, Many Waters, An Acceptable Time :) Gah just writing them out and I'm eyeing my book shelf :) Might have to make the time to re-read them :)

I love mainly books of Carlos Castaneda and I own them all
I used to devour up to two books a day. Crime and mystery ;-)
Omg I LOVE stardust. The movie was great too but very different from the book.
I can read the Lord of the Rings trilogy over and over again, but I’m currently reading Game Of Thrones.
I have been reading Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance by Christopher Paolini.
i'm working through my enormous library pile before i go back to school -- dunno if i can do it but we'll see.
Every year on September 1st I re-read the Harry Potter series. It's a tradition I've had for a while.
I've just read the first three Secret Circle books and I'm wondering if I should read the next in the series.. it was continued by a different author and I'm not so sure.
I'm also loving the Dresden series at the minute and I need to get the rest of the Surviving the Evacuation zombie series off Amazon!
