Unable to send gifts in Mysterious Melody

Whenever I get assigned a mysterious melody, it gets reset but I never get a chance to gift back to the person. I don't think it's been 24 hours so how can I send a gift to those that already gave me something if the MM rests frequently? I don't know their usernames, and I don't like taking and not giving back...
Mysterious Melody resets every day at midnight. Are you trying to say that it resets more frequently for you, or resets when it is not supposed to?
Once you get assigned a Mysterious Melody, you should be able to send them gifts on this page, is it not working for you?

Oh my gosh! I think I figured out the problem! I thought I had 24 hours in general to send a gift! I didn't know that at 12AM on the dot everything is reset. I usually enter the event around 11PM or so since that's when I usually log in I'm so sorry for the confusion
