This is actually really great! I might start storing my stuff in my vault as opposed to a makeshift gallery now we have more flexibility. :) Thank you!

It'll take a bit of getting used to having the categories in the dropdown instead of clickable links, but that's okay. It looks great! :)

This is more of a feedback thing than a bug, but the numbers that we have being listed as like "1 in your vault" just seems a bit redundant. Maybe if we had text that just said like 'Qty: 1" or whatever? IDK but the extra repetitive text makes the numbers stand out less, in my opinion.

Feedback after 10 minutes of messing around:

More visual clarity on category renaming would be nice. That the text input box for renaming is not distinct until you've clicked into it, to me, gives the whole set of category names a feeling like a continuous page. So it's easy to forget to press Enter between renamings.
The category dropdown menu defaults to saying "all items" but it's actually displaying my Unsorted category, when:

coming from Category Rename page back into main vault
having just moved one item to inventory via the "X" or "All" buttons

The "category successfully updated" popup over in the right corner of the screen took me several times to notice. >.< Maybe it's just that it's a change and those can make me panic, but I preferred the old version where the "updated" notice was under the item you'd just changed.

More feedback on the Edit Categories page.

In the instruction paragraph, it says "To delete a category, click the X all the way on the right side." However, there isn't an X but rather a red button that says Delete (at least that's what I'm seeing), so this instruction text should probably be updated.

Also pinging because I'm pretty sure this part is unintentional: I just noticed that on the Currency Vault page, the right side bookmarks are no longer showing up, and I'm pretty sure they were before the changes were rolled out.

This is because, while beta testing, we found that having the dropdown default to Unsorted caused more confusion when people used the search form because they expected the vault to search all items, not just the Unsorted category, just like the previous version of the vault. The compromise was to make the main page of the vault show unsorted items (as before, and this is definitely not changing because showing all items on the main page would place unnecessary strain on the database) but have the search form default to all items. I'm not currently planning to change this again.

For your other two points, I think those might not be as problematic after you've taken some time to get used to them. In general for UI feedback I find it's better to wait a couple weeks because initially it's hard to tell what's going to stay a problem and what's going to be fine once the new UI becomes more familiar.

I liked the jumping of 10, 25, 50. I find it makes the dropdown so long and ugly with it listing every single number

Why does the very last row in every page have 4 items instead of the usual 6 like all other rows? Makes it look..uneven

The category updated alert is cool, but personally I preferred the old vault's way of putting it right below the category dropdowns. They don't disappear at least.

Otherwise it looks great

....just wondering something - will there ever/also be the possibility (in the future) to find certain items even if you dont remember the name or so ?? or just if you want to see all items from a certain category ?

for example: i mean, lets say, i wanna see all the books in my vault ? because i want to put them in a selfmade category named "books" ....

if i typ now in the search "book" i only get all the items with book in it even bookmarks or bookends - but not all the books show, like for example "103 Things To Do With a Pumpkin" is a book but because the word "book" is not in it , it wont show up off course :)

same for foods or plushies or minions

It was changed because people complained about the jumping when it was like that previously.

The number of items shown per row will depend on your window size/screen resolution. There is not a fixed number of items per row. Instead, it is fixed at 250 items per page and each item just takes up the space it takes up, which are an intentionally compact size and about the same size as they used to be (as users generally seem to dislike when whitespace is added to site features)

The problem with them not disappearing is that, if you then change the category of the same item a second time, you get zero feedback on whether or not it worked. If we do place it back under the category dropdowns (like I mentioned above, I want to give it more time before making a call on that) it will still fade out after a couple seconds. The main reason I wanted to move it out from under the category dropdowns, is that either it changes the height of each item box which pushes the grid down, or we have to add a lot of whitespace to the bottom of each item to make room for it.

That might be possible, but it's something we'll have to discuss. I definitely agree that it would be a useful feature :) However there's a lot of considerations with something like that, like we'd have to integrate it with both the existing search code and caching code (which is really complicated) so I can't give a definite yes or no to it right now.

Yes, those were both fixed!

But I'm still experiencing some cache issues.

I added items to my vault both by quick stock and straight from my inventory, and they didn't show up right away.

Then by playing around with some stuff, I discovered that removing an item from my vault made the newly added items show up.

But then I added back the item that I removed and left everything alone, and it's been over 10 minutes now and that item still hasn't shown up on the main page. However, it does show up when I search for it by name, or when I view All Items. But it doesn't show up when I view just Unsorted items. Not sure what's going on there.

Actually just now, 15 minutes later and it finally showed up on the main page/in my unsorted category.

Also a note, it seems to be the same with items that I have multiples of in my vault as well. Removing a duplicate changes the number right away, but when I added the item back the number didn't go up again. Probably will in 15 minutes I guess.

Just pushed a fix for the caching issue. It was an issue on quickstock/inventory pages, not the vault page, that was not clearing the vault cache correctly.
