I miss seeing my sister. She lives pretty far away and I only get to see her occasionally so it's always nice to see her over Christmas.
I also miss having an excuse to listen to Christmas music nonstop.

The thing I will miss the most...well it's hard to pick just one. I've spend the holidays with family and friends and it has been amazing, we've spend the whole day playing games with each other. Even though we do spend a lot of time together during the rest of the year those games are special for the holidays, so they will be missed until next year. I love listening to christmas songs, but after the holidays that just seems weird, so I will miss those a lot as well. The thing I will miss the most though is the look on my mom's face when she opened her special christmas present this year, the whole family worked together in giving her a pendant that was made especially for her, it was priceless <3
i love subeta holidays. they take the place of family holidays. i live to faraway from family. i dont have much family. they died. so i love the holidays here. i love the gifts i get. cheep or expensive. i have a situation i wonder if i could get feedback? i get a gift from this one person who just randomly threw gifts under my tree. not on my wishlist. you would call junk gifts. mostly old melody stuff. my wish list is huge with cheep things on it. i felt hurt. everyone else got me wishlist items. they did that last year too. should i tell them. how i felt. or just be quiet and just defrag?
I miss the Christmas music and the LIGHTS! Really, the atmosphere they create feels so magical. I miss them the second they are gone.
It's amazing to me that so many people celebrate something at the same time, that it changes the way our daily life looks for a short while.
I love subeta also, I don't get much things irl but I absolutely love getting gifts on here cheap or not, and hmm I would prob frag, I mean who know what they were thinking when they put it lol unless it was like mean junk items like the weird items they have on here then I prob wouldn't say anything well you now will have some of those crystals :D

as I mentioned in my last post, the state i live in has harsh and cold weather, which leads to the interstate being shut down. So unfortunately this year the roads were shut down for most of the day on Christmas and then had high wind warnings and snow blow over. Lets just say my state is number 1 on lowest population. (I wonder why, heh) So unfortunately I wasn't able to go see my family and I feel lil homesick.
We had been watching the weather and prepared for this to happen. My boyfriend and I had a nice Christmas dinner and proceed to watch the new Netflix movie Bright. We are currently in the process of moving and packing everything (I'm fresh out of college and recently found a job that is three hours away from where we are now) so there is several boxes in the living room and in the kitchen, so our dinner took place at the kitchen table as well as the movie, which was played on a laptop, that sat on top of more boxes lol. It was a wonderful Christmas though and I felt truly blessed to be able to spend it with somebody. Now that's it been a day or two since Christmas and going back to filling out paper work for the apartment and job I miss that feeling of just relaxing, sitting down, and enjoying someone's company and appreciating the small things. I feel that sometimes our lives get so busy that it's hard to just sit down, relax, and appreciate the world around you. In the future I will definitely take some time to slow down and try to have this wonderful moment more often.
🦋 Happy Holidays! 🦋
Eggnog is about the only thing I miss about the winter holidays when th e y are done, but I wouldn't want it year round because then it is not special. My nuclear family are all kind of close so i see them a lot so...
was bright good? Sorry the weather was mean.
I thought it was really good! I recommend watching it if your a will smith fan and like fantasy! I know the weather can be something else here T.T

Really it was Nixon and Regan that f-ed it all up. LETS GO BACK IN TIME AND SAVE JFK. It might've helped >___>;
He was found later that night when a neighbor went to get gifts from his shed, the cat had taken refuge and was terrified like jumping at shadows and noises for a day or two, something scared the cheese and crackers out of him, there are a lot of semi tame toms here and the poor kid probably ran into one
That is such an awesome idea and incredibly gratifying!

Aw thank you <3 I think part of what made the experience so wholesome was that I got to meet the person I was actually gifting instead of having my company or an organization deliver the gifts.
Haha it is a family recipe that I unfortunately cannot give out. My aunt would kill me if anyone knew the ingredients. I don't think she has even shared the recipe with her daughter x.x;
Thank you so much! That was such a wonderful prize/surprise! C:
Aiii! That's so wrong! You can't just mention something as scrumptous as roasted pork shoulder and not have the recipe on hand to share lol there are laws!
LOL My Grand's best friend Sarah was very free with her recipe's but she'd always leave out key ingredients like salt in a cookie recipe so people would say "Sarah, I tried to make your kahk, but it wasn't nearly as good as yours." Aunt Sarah would make sympathetic noises about how complicated the recipe was but inwardly I'm sure she was snickering

I'm glad to hear he made it home safe. Maybe after this little adventure he won't be so keen to escape anymore ;P
i always miss the lights most. id wish string lights were kept up year round, if i didn't also care about light pollution and seeing the stars. as it is we tend to keep our outdoor string lights out through february or so, even if it's just because we can't really take them down until the ice and snow melts :) it's a little harder here bc the roads get so wild, but when we lived in washington state my mom would drive us up to the richer neighborhood every year, and we'd just coast around and look at the different lights everyone had up. they're really magical. when i live on my own i'm going to decorate my room with string lights and itll be amazing
Thank you for the last win!!
I miss not getting to see my friends or family that live far away. One of my best friends lives in Seattle and I maybe get to see him once a year maybe once every two years. Normally not around christmas time either and they were just saying how they missed my Christmas parties lol!!
I think I've made it pretty clear I'm not super fond of christmas overall. :x This was my first year working retail in it and yeah....that didn't improve it any at all.
But one thing I super miss during the year is mint cocoa. Its so simple and yet so pleasurable and one of the things I look forward to most about the colder season.
Yes once the Basic Bitch season gets silenced, and the pumpkin spice is put to rest for a year. Minter arrives and I am over the moon.
And now for a recipe for year long Minter-y goodness. ^_^
Your choice of cocoa (whether from scratch or a store-bought powder0 Mix appropriately Crush a peppermint hard candy and mix into cocoa. Simmer until candy is melted.
Pour into a cup with marshmallow or whipped cream and enjoy!

I love cats but they are incredibly perverse animals. Last summer Scaramouche got out was gone for a little over a day when he got back he was a wreck for days...was hiding in my roommate's closet ant absolutely panicked by a ceramic cat " high after about 5 days he was his normal goofy but lovable self, we figured he would avoid open doors from then on...two weeks later he tried to slip out when I was coming in
