What am I up to?

Mainly stressing at the minute! We're having a massive tax issue at the minute (basically husbands employer submitted his income twice so the government think we owe them money and they're taking almost half his wages off him every month, even though the employer rectified the mistake HMRC refuse to acknowledge this) that means we're only just making enough money to pay for food and usually that would be fine.. but it's Christmas and I would love to buy the kids some gifts, and I need maternity clothes. And I haven't bought baby any clothes yet. sigh

Anyway, today has been busy. School show and school trip and food shopping along with after school clubs. I'm knackered now!

Thank you, everyone. Not sure if this thread is supposed to stay upbeat or not, so just a warning that it's really not at all upbeat from here on.

It was pancreatic cancer. The vet said that even if we had caught it early, there's nothing that could have been done. We tried everything we could for her. He said we gave her way more of a chance than most, and that he truly believes that she couldn't have lived in a home with more love for her than mine. Just really struggling, because I also recently lost my grandfather, and we always spent the holidays with him, and even before that, December has just been a really difficult month for me these past few years. I'm super beaten down right now, so I'm just going to go curl up on the couch with my husband and my old lady cat Enyah (14)

I am sorry you have had so much loss around this time. You don't have to pretend to be happy when so much is going on. Time heals all wounds

Trust me, it's mandatory fun. Otherwise I'd be hiding in my hole. That's why when I get home I just want to mindlessly play video games and not talk to anyone. lol

[edit] I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I've lost three beautiful people in my life to that aggressive form of cancer. You did the best you could do and I'm sure she knows that. The loss of a loved one is extremely hard but so are our beloved pets. She's crossed the rainbow bridge where there are unlimited toys and snacks.

I hope the holidays can become less burdened in the future for you. When I lost my grandma it was very difficult those first two years. Ily. ice cream, cuddles and snuggles make things tolerable though.

For an introvert, you did a lot. This will be over soon and you'll look back and have lovely memories.

True. I enjoy Friendsmas a lot but it would have been nice to have someone else to help plan with me. That's my biggest gripe is that I end up planning everything. lol Sometimes I just want to be a guest dang it!

I'm currently hyped for this weekend.

Friday night after work I'm seeing the new star wars with my friend, Saturday we're going to get my fishnets for my cosplay and Sunday we're celebrating my birthday by going to a convention where I'll be dressed as burlesque Deadpool. ^_^

On the 18th I'll be doing some real life Christmas shopping. My dad is taking my brother, my boyfriend, and myself out for dinner then we are hitting the shops! Other than that not much is going on with me. Just busy online with gifting and cleaning my account. c:

Not much is happening; I finally finished one of my computer games, have been doing WoW stuff....Going to be putting up the tree later tonight, finally. Writing off and on. We finally got a nice check in the mail that should help with finances, so that's good. Otherwise, not much goes on in my life xD.

It was so annoying, but a really good time anyway. They showed us how to get out of it in the end. There was also a sound sensor that didn't work too well, you had to whistle and I was doing my best, but one of the moderators came in and circumvented the sensor for us so we could get the next clue. Wear a scarf like your adorable HA <3

Sorry to just eaves-read on your conversation, but your kitty is so cute! It's extra adorable that your son named him after a toy he got so many years ago! What a cutie. I'm sure he's a well loved little kitty.

My kitty is a leg-attacker. His name is Lucifer and he was born the day after halloween. He's a menace, but I love him. He can be really smoochy when he wants to be, but he can also be a little hellion. His name fits, safe to say!

My other cat is called Pickles and she's 17, and a precious little gem. She's always been tiny, so she looks pretty skeletal despite eating about four meals a day xD

I got to do some service at the arena downtown the day after the Jackets bombed 7-2 the night before-- they were out on the ice being put through the ringer for sure! Not okay! Pens aren't normally bad-- what's going on with them??
