I hate to be a downer but my husband and I are having a tough time throughout the holidays this year because we are both suffering with depression and other problems. I have a small lights in my life with has been writing in my journal and playing Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. But with my husband's birthday tomorrow and neither of us are feeling it or Christmas in general we're both just kind of feeding off each other's anxiety. We're trying to keep each other busy with little tasks. On the upside I am currently on vacation from work and I still have a couple of days left. At least not being at work and having to deal with work problems make everything a little better. Ugh I'm so sorry for this post, I just don't really have any friends in real life and I don't have anyone to talk to abou these things.

I'm so sorry to hear that :( You know what helps me when I feel a bit of depression coming on? I go on a walk. Sounds silly and it's the LAST thing you want to do when you're depressed but it helps SO much... at least for me. I listen to some calming music, enjoy fresh air, and my mind just clears.

Hmmmm what's up with me? After this week I will be half way through my dietetic internship!!! 600 hours down... 600 to go! I know a lot of people aren't familiar with the schooling to become a dietitian but I've worked so hard to be here ;-; it's pretty much the only thing that's on my mind these days lol.

sounds like you're in the middle of a staycation then? That's what my fiance and I normally do-- this year was the first time we actually booked flights and resorts and stuff like that, and we ended up booking for Puerto Rico the week after Maria hit (we booked it in March.. lesson learned about Hurricane Season for sure). I find that staying at home for vacation can be pretty fulfilling though and give you time to reset a little bit.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time! I've been very much not in the Christmas mood either.. I'm not sure what it is, but it's frustrating to be feeling a bit grinchy when everyone else is sugarplums and rainbows!

OH I FORGOT ABOUT ME!

What's up with me is that I'm FINALLY hitting my last month of training for the job I started two months ago. I won't be officially official til Feb 1st, but its been a TON to learn, and it's been a pretty crazy experience so far. I worked in restaurant management for 13 years and finally made the jump over to sales-- I have a M-F job and everything now! It's so weird!

What's up? Not much in real life. Mostly working on things here.

Monitoring my group Posting Frenzy, which has grown bigger and more active than I thought it would.

I'm also working on an achievement guide for the "easiest/fastest/simplest" 250 achievements to get into the blue building. I'm about halfway done, but I keep getting distracted with other things.

Like, trying to work out which battle opponents drop which items so we can get that information into SubetaLodge. As well as trying to keep track of minor changes Subeta makes, spelling, item use, name changes, consistency issues, etc. to keep SL as current as possible.

I'm also trying to work out which tiles get dropped for which scores in the Tiles Bonus Game. Unfortunately I have very little time to play the tiles game since there's always something else I'm working on.

Last thing was subeta-izing Hamlet's soliloquy, I haven't gotten very far yet,

I'm currently trying to work more (now that exams are over and I'm on winter break) to make that $$$ so I can properly spoil my close friend group/boyfriend/myself/family !! Sort of dislike working all week for hours on end, but it'll be worth it !!

but at the same time I'm trying to catch up with a couple of friends that I haven't been able to see due to schedules never lining up : /// rip rip

buying presents for those I care about/doing good deeds for strangers is what's currently on my mind right now !!

Whats up? Got yelled at, at work DX which was bot fun and not something I had control over but Friday doing a casino night and sat going to a christmas market with a fellow subeta person :D

I was being told that it would only affect US residents and since I'm not I should be okay but it's still concerning since this site is in the US and if this slows down it will be slow on any devices regardless of where we are :(

disappointment is a core component of being an adult. i believe plato said that. (he didnt) youre definitely right about size correlating to ability to domesticate -- so im thinkin about draft horse-sized dragons... and then that led to me wondering how we domesticated horses, and then i realized they're herbivores. that solves everything, we just need herbivorous dragons it ended up snowing, and having 5 inches of snow, and being around 13 degrees yesterday and i walked a mile both ways to my doctor and it was kinda terrible. but i feel immensely powerful. was wearing literally 3 layers of clothing on every part of my body. stay puffed marshmallow man. i want a constant dripfeed of hot tea into my bloodstream for my bravery. and i have warm blankets i wrap around me at the computer but as soon as i put them down a cat or dog lays on them and i cant just steal it from them. thats illegal. theyre so goddamn cozy also can i ask what you're majoring in? :O (YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY SAID BUT I GUARANTEE IVE FORGOTTEN)

but IN GENERAL i am working on a really good art commission that i love a lot. it's art for a game the commissioner is making, based on a really old game (kindof like pokemon, except everything was more monstrous and you bred two monsters together to create an entirely different monster), called Dragon Quest Monsters. once i got the commission i looked into that game because i'd never heard of it before and fell in love with the designs. these are some of my favorites [SPOILER] [/SPOILER] i love them a lot and saved a lot of sprites from the games for just future design inspiration because theyre amazing but anyways! the commission was for three drawings. 1. a doberman pinscher with a flaming dogskull for a head 2. a bat with three spider legs instead of wings 3. a combination of the two, a doberman pinscher with a flaming dogskull with bat ears for a head and skeletal bat wings. obviously i was ecstatic to get such a cool commission. ive been doing kinda poorly with health and so poorly with getting it done, but ive got two out of three and i feel like i did them justice, and theyre designs im very happy to have a part in, and the commissioner is very kind and understanding. so all in all its really good

I have played Dragon Quest Monsters quite a few times and I LOVE it! So that's fantastic you're getting an opportunity to contribute to a similar game <3 Have fun :D

Well, right now I'm trying to lose weight. I've lost 14 pounds and I'm happy, but I know I'll eat like a pig on Christmas and I'll gain weight again. Oh, well... I wanna celebrate, so I'll try to be happy and forget about everything else. <3 Also I need to draw, I have SO MUCH DRAWINGS to do/finish before December ends is not even fun anymore.

@ /Alisialy I am watching the challenge also :D and I watch it just to watch CT hes my favorite and my least favorite is definitely johnny bananas since he drives me crazy, I kind of wish CT would start working out again that way he can murder them all in the next big challenge they have lol

Right now I am stressing over having to sign up for healthcare because I make over 40k and it says I would need to pay 185 dollars per month and that doesn't even cover anything really! -_- I would have to pay like 75 dollars per doctors visits and pay for medication which could range all the way up to 500 dollars its so stressful to the point I've been getting sick. The way we have healthcare in the US is a disaster its like sometimes I think to myself is lt even worth it I rather not even see the doctor.

ikr and in a sense it would affect people in other countries if their favorite site can't pay the bills to keep the site up and running. They might have to close down and especially if the core users who purchase game currency or pay for memberships to their favorite site that is based in the us then it will affect that site its so crazy. I can't even imagine not being able to surf as much as i want I spend a lot of time online probably half my day.

What's up?

Right now I'm just looking forward to Christmas and then counting down to my 28th birthday which is 10 days after! Since I am bit of crazy person, I am also getting excited at all the snow predicted to head to my neck of the woods. Seeing 2 weeks plus of snow falling in the weather chart is like the greatest gift for me lol. So I'm just happy Mother Nature is granting my snow wish for the time around my birthday. I'm also baking as many cookies as I can before Christmas because I am addicted to those. I love this time of year! ^u^
