it's not the only anime I've seen, but the only one I've seen in the last 2-3 years that I liked, I guess. I haven't watched many recently. 10-20 years ago I watched a ton of anime and then slowed way down on my consumption of it as I got more easily distracted and didn't want to read the screen as much (but I still don't really like dubs).

yes, I watched Runaways on Hulu, the first four episodes I think were available. The characters seem interesting and I'm already invested in their story. The weird thing though is that Hulu runs commercials for Runaways during the show itself. I keep thinking shouldn't they run these commercials in other shows??

Oh wow! This is an endless topic for me!! I'll try to keep it short but no guarantees! I'm a huge book nerd! I love books! Always have a book or two with me! I'm also a huge animal lover! My husband & I take in cats & kittens we find. We have a dog that stays in our barn too. But we have about 8 cats & kittens outside & 2 inside. But I love most animals too. I also love church! My husband & I met through our church & it's a huge part of our lives. I also love writing. Sadly I haven't written much lately but I love it. Music is also a huge part of my life. I love all kinds of music. I also love cooking & baking. Not the greatest at it but I do enjoy doing it. I have recently gotten into DIYs & crafts. Once again I'm not good at them at all but I enjoy attempting them. I could go on & on with things but I'll stop for now.

Hockey isn't a big thing here, either. There's a video on Youtube called Irish People Watch Ice Hockey For The First Time that pretty much sums up Irelands' (both of them) view on hockey. Of course, they picked quite possibly the most boring game ever to show them, but /shrugs what can you do.

And yeah, I only like the Blue Jackets because of one player. I spent a whole lot of money on fan stuff (jerseys, shirts, pucks, photos, etc) that I am emotionally and monetarily attached. It doesn't hurt that I followed his career in Russia either, so I liked him before he ever joined my NHL team.

-- so as to not spam or game i'm editing in my answer for this round none of these really fit a hobby, per se, but cats, tea, and candles are 100% my favorite things. also, coincidentally, zombies. something about portrayals of sentient zombies strikes a chord in me with my chronic pain, and the oblivious zombie candle looks so tranquil and calm, which is perfect because candles are also tranquil and calm. thats one of the biggest reasons i love subeta, is the underground and pandemic event. but more about the actual prompt; my ideal situation at any time is being wrapped in a blanket with a cat and some tea, and a scented candle lit nearby. my favorite tea is licorice root and my favorite scent of candle is anything involving oranges, and my favorite cat is my cat patch who is chubby and has half an ear and no teeth and sounds like a chainsaw and is very good

If that's the case, I highly recommend The Madness of Angels as well! The name is a little cliche but it does justice to the urban fantasy genre where many books have failed!

Haha personally I really like dubs, but I hear a lot of people who agree with you. I think there are anime that benefit from dubs, like Baccano, which is MUCH better dubbed than subbed. (And I've heard Cowbow Bebop is the same but since I've never seen it in japanese I can't say for myself) What did you used to watch?

I am a priest rn, with lots of celestial troops. I am not very much pvp oriented, I still need to do lots of campains and other than that I enjoy collecting the cards. The guild I am in gets me a lot of keys <3

I've liked a few anime dubs. I liked the dub of Mushi-shi and I thought the dub of Tsukihime was better than the original. I also like Disney's dubs of the Ghibli movies. That's it, though, I think...

I also saw some of the really early released in the USA ones, like I saw Akira in the theater in 1990. It was super weird :D The very first anime from Japan that I saw was "Five Star Stories" and I think it was 1989, I had a friend at the time who had copies of a translation of the script, we didn't have any subtitles on her videotape so we tried to follow along with the paper script ;) it didn't make any sense to me. (I watched Speed Racer as a little child but I didn't even know it wasn't made in English originally at the time so it doesn't count)

Did you hear that the Russians got banned from the Olympics? So now the gold medal will go to either, like, Finland or Sweden because the NHL isn't allowing athletes to go (rip Team USA and Team Canada). It'll be an interesting one to see for sure, especially the teams who got in based on NHL players (Slovenia: Anze Kopitar and Norway: Mats Zuccarello).

yes I did! The woman team of Canada is really strong though so I hope they win :) TBH I reaaaalllyyy love to follow the Olympics but I dont care about hockey on a daily basis.

Women's hockey is amazing in Canada, but the US Women's team are the current World Champions (but Canada are the Olympic champions, but one tourney is held every year as opposed to every four, so you decide which one is more important). Since the Russian team was banned, except for certain individual athletes, I don't really have a stake in the Olympics, especially since most of the people participating will be unknown people (who play in Europe or China or wherever).

Of course! I also really love football (not American, but real football) because I'm a true European in that regard. Any other sport and I'm pretty lost. I follow some baseball, but it takes forever, so I get bored most of the time.

Sorry for jumping in on your conversation, but I love Howl's Moving Castle so much~~~ I recommend you read the book, too. As much as I loved the movie, it changed a lot during the adaption process. But the book is so, so good the way it is so I can't recommend it enough.

Anime and Voltron. Two of my favorite things <3<3<3<3 I've fallen so behind on my watch list, though. ;;; I'm up-to-date on Voltron, but there are so many animes I keep being like "Oh, yeah, I need to watch/finish that" but then never doing it. OTL

As for other stuff, I love, love Pokemon and Legend of Zelda (Probably obvious, given my UN). RPGs and action games in general are really fun, but those two are my favorites

Also, I've been getting into DND/Tabletop RPGs recently, but it's been so hard to find a group. I've been thinking of DMing and trying to start my own group, but it's a little daunting. OTL
