what do you find exotic about it? coming from such a 4 season blah blah place, when i think exotic its allll the Amazon, haha ^^''
When you see Romanian pictures or watch a movie taking places there its all about green field and gorgeous castles. You dont need tropical weather to be exotic ;)
Also I feel you on cold weather...Canadian here.
- I just bought myself a beautiful new dress and I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail! But I don't have anywhere to wear it cries
Aww man, lucky! I have to use Wonder Trade or -shudder- the GTS to get missing dex entries. Haha, I like Lunala better, but then I love Bats so...
Yeah, I heard its supposed to take place in an alternate universe. And night is the best time! I really like star-gazing, so it's nice to look at constellations at times. I have a nice backyard, so it makes it a little easier than normal inside of a city.
lkdfhglsdg omg thank you i love the lollipop tights, they're so pretty ;___;
thank you! i wanted to make an accurate depiction of how i survive winter (bundled up). i'll have to change it soon tho, given that i have a brand new pair of tights to use now ;~;
OKAY SO i actually asked (i may or may not have wanted to take one of the cats home >___> ) but none of the cats are up for adoption! this is so they know for sure all cats mesh well together and there's minimal conflict / stress constantly adopting out and switching in new cats. they did adopt all the cats from shelters though!
ooooo a small zoo!! do you have pictures of your fur babies?
bubble tea is really good if you don't mind strange textures! i've heard some people really dislike it because it's so squishy cx
oh god that food pic _____ /drools
i adore your christmas HA!! so pepperint-y and cute!
I totally understand your pain with China blocking everything! I'm an ABC (American Born Chinese XD), and my parents and brother are China-born, with all of our relatives living in China, so we visit every summer. It always kills me to not be able to access Instagram, Google, etc without a VPN! Luckily, last year I found one that works with my phone, but it does still suck.

So interests...I have too many. Video games (esp Bioshock and Overwatch), music (all genres), Subeta (duh), art (drawing and looking), collecting things (whatever peaks my interest), science, computers, math, riddles, puzzles, anime, writing and developing my characters, Christmas (LIGHTS), atmosphere of both the city and the mountains, cold weather...I'm missing a lot but I'm sure I've already said enough. i would love to change the education system in the US. it's kind of terrible right now, and the government seems to be actively working against bettering it - in my state's constitution, there's literally a line that goes something to the tune of 'we don't want you to be educated, we want you to obey us', and that's insane to me?? it's terribly funded, and the government contributes very little to it. there's very little enforcement of what restrictions do exist - prayer in school is supposed to be illegal, but teachers in many states get away with it, for example. additionally, i'm not really sure how a lot of my teachers got to be teachers - i've seen science teachers deny climate change and college professors target students for minor offenses, and get away with this stuff. no one even bats an eye. it's a bureaucracy, and that doesn't seem right to me, so i'd love for it to improve.

I wish for my friends...
That healthcare could be a right. Because it is free here in Canada and when I hear my best friend in the US saying ''...but I cant afford to see a doctor'' when she feels terrible, it makes me helpless and damn I wished I could do something.
That all the students experiencing terrible anxiety problems could feel free. You can do it people because you are strong and gorgeous. And if you feel like nobody cares well I do care and I believe in you!
I wish for me...
That we'd never have to say a last goodbye to our pets.
AAAAND That I could order an ADULT meal of mac n' cheese! Seriously why do people think only kids want to eat mac n' cheese??
- Ugh... I am in complete agreement about the education system in the US. I am a teacher, and it is awful. I just want to teach... Not deal with the endless crap that isn't teaching. And I want my students to have parents who are around, not working 12-15 hour shifts just to make ends meet.
If I could change one thing, it would be the way people treat each other. We live in an age where it seems like everyone feels that their personal opinions and beliefs are the only acceptable viewpoint, and if you disagree, you are literally the worst person on the face of the earth. What happened to listening to other people, being respectful, and approaching things with actual knowledge?
If I had a wish to change the world, I would wish that there was less greed.
One thing I wish for the world would be that there was another less pollution. I recycle everything I can and I wish the landfills would not be so full and everyone would make a big effort to make the world a better place so we can all live here as well as our children and our childrens children.
I always had a wish for myself as a kid too. Every birthday when I was a kid I would wish I wasn't a diabetic. It never came true so after years I stopped wishing for it but I still hope maybe someday someone will find a cure.
Im studying to become a teacher and finish next year. And I can also see some major issues. Like the gov says they are giving and giving to school but it feels like most of the money gets lost in some wealthy people's pockets :/
Yeah...that garbage continent is a really good thing to wish to get rid of. And it would be wonderful to find a permanent cure for diabetes. I wish for you scientists will find soon! <3
This is a loaded question, ngl. There are many things I feel like need to change in the U.S. overall, not just the world.
The biggest one that I feel like needs to be properly addressed though is universal healthcare. I'm a prime example of the health care system failing the middle class.
I am an assistant manager, I don't make nearly what I should as an assistant manger, in fact I barely make what a starting position in retail makes. My hours are never guaranteed to stay the same from week to week. Due to this I cannot put on a health care form what I truly make per year. I can at best average my hours and when I do that I am told I make "too much money" to qualify for any assistance.
I am going to be 30 years old this month. I have never lived on my own because I don't make enough money to afford rent on my own and while I've tried numerous times to get roommates they've fallen through. Its is literally impossible for me to afford to care for myself.
Now, due to me "making too much money", the lowest insurance I can get that would cover everything I need it for, primary, specialist, etc, is $500 a month. I sometimes don't make $500 a month.
How am I going to afford to pay my health insurance, live on my own, afford my medications, food, etc when I can't even make the required amount to pay my insurance to begin with? Whats worse is that there are people who make far less than me and don't qualify for lower insurance prices either! Its absolutely not okay!
Healthcare should be a right, not a privilege. Nothing anyone says to me will convince me otherwise. As a nation we need to focus on making healthcare available to everyone and not giving tax breaks to big pharma so they can profit from people dying.
This is something I'm very passionate about. :x I'm sorry if I come off really mad. :/

I thought I was the only Chinese on this site XD I was born in NYC but then was basically shipped off to China and lived with my grandparents for three years, then moved to Kentucky to live with my parents and brother. Finding a good VPN for PCs is really hard, I haven't found one either! Tell me if you find one! ^^

I get where you are coming from. I did my masters in education and was really disturbed by some of practices in the counties and the government structure. Not only were they unsupportive in many cases, but they were often doing something to undermine progress. At the local level, being a teacher is one of the most stressful and undervalued professions in the USA. No wonder it's hard to recruit and (importantly!) retain good teachers!
MY RESPONSE
I would love to change the way we view waste in the USA. In fact, I'd just really like for people to think about waste. Recycling is optional in a lot of places that I've lived, or even something you have to pay for. There are also so many things that are technically recyclable but perhaps not so in a specific county. If those items are put in the recycling bin, many times the whole batch is thrown out (I've seen it happen D:). If we can't even recycle, how can we talk about reducing our consumption or creating more eco-friendly products? We are so far behind where are environment needs us to be. We're harming ourselves and people are often unaware, uninformed or uninterested.
When I refuse to buy a drink with lunch at work and say it's because the only options are in plastic bottles, I get quizzical looks. Someone always says "but it's recyclable." This makes me cringe because 1) they don't recycle and only thought of that as an "answer" to my problem, 2) buying that plastic supports the economic model that more plastic should be produced, and 3) recycling still generates waste! We need to move beyond recycling ("It's recyclable so it's OK to make, buy, and toss it!") and I feel like we're not even close to getting to that as a first step :'(
