Parrotlets have larger beaks and shorter tails than parakeets. Because of their tails, they end up being a bit smaller, but they are also stockier than parakeets. As far as personality goes, they act like they are large birds in small bodies. xD I have to get large bird toys (meant for African greys/Amazons) for Jellybean because she destroys the toys made for smaller birds within a day!

I'm going to take him to a shelter and we're going to pick one together. He used to have a dog but his ex took him and won't let him have him back, claiming the dog doesn't like him, etc. It really upset him to lose his dog that way so I'm going to try to make it right as best I can.

Ahh, goodness, I'm a bit late in replying to this one. School comes first, unfortunately. lol

Some things I love are Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Harry Potter, cosplaying, and drawing!

The first 3 are pretty self explanatory. I'm a huge nerd in all aspects, so I love video games, but those two specifically. And Harry Potter was my whole childhood and is still my life right now tbh. As a kid, my friends and I would pretend to be wizards on the playground with sticks that we called wands. We even did extensive research and had mapped out Harry's entire family tree on our own during recesses. lol

Cosplay is something I got into in the past couple of years, and it is SO FUN. It has helped me with my confidence a ton, too! I work with a volunteer group and we go to community events and children's charities/hospitals to make the world a little brighter with our passions. I mainly cosplay Rey from Star Wars, and Elsa from Frozen, and seeing the kids' faces light up when they think you're actually that character is too much. Once, some girls actually asked me to sing as Elsa and we all sang together and I was melting inside (and no that's not a purposeful Frozen pun. lol)

Finally, I love drawing as a stress reliever and also I'd love to go into the art field as a job someday. I want to do graphic design, mainly, but I also really like character design and watercolor painting!

Oh no it's horrible she cut him off like that. Hopefully a new furry friend will help make it hurt a little less. It's so hard picking one at a shelter - whenever I go to a shelter I just want to bring them all home. I hope you find the perfect new family member :D

it was almost a month ago - november 14! very weird birthday for me, aha. thank you ❤️ you're actually about the age of most of the people i know on here! they're not too much older than me, but just enough to make it where, most of the time, i still would've been in middle school when they were graduating from high school. i can't say i know too many people with grandkids on here, but i don't doubt that there are a significant number of them! it's really cool to me that people of such a vast age range can like this place ❤️ i think i tried marapets really briefly? it just didn't hold my attention very well. this site does have a remarkable staff though, they're pretty great about letting us know things and getting things done - especially ! he's really new but he's exactly what this site needed.

ahh, yeah, pet store birds are such a wide range. you can end up with a little baby or a full-grown bird, depending on the store, and it's super hard to know their temperaments. my doves and keets are pet store birds too, but i went to a few pet stores and picked out some younger birds purposely. that's interesting, and i'm really curious now, aha. i may have to do both - read the book and see the movie - to really understand i think. aha, i'm used to the bro humor - my dad and brother give me enough of that x3 i'm glad the females are written well! that's something you don't find in enough books.

ohh, your kitties sound beautiful! i love both of those breeds a lot - so fluffy and gorgeous ❤️ they have really cute names too! board games are also great, although i haven't had much time to play them lately. i'll have to look those up and see if my family would like them! we need to do something cute for christmas eve this year too ❤️

aha, that sounds so weird! shooting oysters sounds kind of like taking pills, lmao. i don't really understand why people would do that, especially if they are more about texture - how are you even really supposed to enjoy the texture then? i do like flat noodles a lot though, so maybe i'll be brave enough to give them a chance sometime!

yeah, it is kind of something you have to go out of your way to do. i got a farfetch'd too, that was one day my family did play cx aha, that's really cool! i live pretty close to dallas n_n i don't know of too many people on here who're from texas, even with it being a very large state. aw, silly kitty, sleeping too deeply cx he sounds super cute! my kitty's getting on up there too, she's almost eleven. hopefully we both still have a while with our little furry ones ❤️

ahh, keep in mind, i'm not good at any of it per se, just better than i am at straight up drawing cx i'm actually super jealous of people who can draw, so that's really cool to me!! is there anything in particular you like to draw? i know one kid who loves to draw animal skulls more than anything, it's kinda neat! aha, okay, so yeah, maine is texas cx civilization concentrated in a few places, god knows what everywhere else. tbh nothing ever looks real in texas - there's a mall pretty close to my house, but if you get on the road to go back to my house from the mall, at the first light if you look to the right there's the huge outdoor mall and all its building and the highway, and if you look to the left, there's this huge empty field. like... are we sure we're not in the middle of nowhere?? and if you drive south for a few hours in the summer, you can find just huge cotton fields and they go on forever. it's surreal, it looks like it snowed, except there's just enough green that you can still see underneath all the white. super disorienting.

ooh, i'll have to look into that one too! i'm also quite a night owl when i don't have to be up super early - last night i think i went to bed at 5 am? something like that. so i'll probably like it n_n aha, i actually think it's dorky because most of the people i know who like it are older than me! the people my age that i know at school don't usually play it anymore, and the younger kids don't really know what it is most of the time. my parents have gotten really into pokemon go actually! but tbh it doesn't matter, i'm gonna like it no matter who else does x3 i did get the latest one! i got sun this time since i had moon last year, and it's really strange? i like it though! i'm almost all of the way through the storyline, i think i'm basically about to do the elite four, or at least that seems like where it's going. i just did the last grand trial!

yea aside from the slow staff there're also frequent site maintenances... I remember back in February the site was out for two weeks due to code breaking(?) so the site owner had to redo everything... that's when I quit the site and joined here xD

my favourite thing is probably writing!! i've been writing since i learned how to but kinda started doing it "seriously" when i was around 11 and haven't stopped since |D honestly i can write all day and not get bored lmao. but i mostly like to just sit in starbucks or my uni library's cafe and write there, it's so relaxing~

alongside writing i'm also very passionate about music!! writing without music doesn't feel as satisfying to me ; v ; i'm into a bit of everything honestly but i tend to gravitate towards alt rock and screamo mostly! with some indie and experimental throw in there~

ahhhh i also love animal crossing!! sadly i don't play as much now though haha ; D ; i invested some 600 hours into my new leaf town but should def pick it up again sometime because it's my pride and job tbh and i never 100% finished my landscaping * v *

and drawing is great too!! watercolours are fabulous~ i really only do digital art bc i get super frustrated with traditional lmao but i want to get better at it! do you have a da/tumblr or anything for your art? :' D

Yeah this season has been a little slow. Lots of negotiating between communities.. get to the zombie eating part already!!

I get distracted so badly on Skyrim. I think I've almost finished the game, super high level and yet I've only just started the main quest line xD

i started with horde then was alliance for a bit because my older sisters bf wanted her to play alliance and my siblings and i wanted to keep playing with her as well so we where alliance for a while but since we changed to firestorm we are all horde again ^^ and on all private servers are some buggs and stuff but i like firestorm the best from the servers i heared of. only thing that's really annoying there is lvling from 80 - 85 on legion horde side (alliance works for some reason but you can't get there with horde char or NPC's there will kill you) but i think since chistmas is soon there will be a boris event too [boris is a npc that boosts you to 100 or 110 depends on if firestorm wants to give you a free 100 or a free 110 (max lvl) char]

Sort of along the lines of your drawing story - I used to use calligraphy as a stress reliever. I was introduced to it my Hand Arts class in high school and thought (like the rest of the class) that I would hate it but it turns out (unlike the rest of the class) I really love it. I never got especially great at it but I found it very calming - kind of like meditation almost. I keep meaning to get back into but never quite seem to get around to it.

We knew nothing about parakeets/birds as pet when we got them so there was no planning or shopping around. I really don't know how we decided to get the first one (I think it was something horrible and basic like he was on sale and why not?) and then the second we wanted to get the first one a companion and found him in a pet store and he was so beautiful we couldn't resist.

It sounds like getting parakeets is kind of like getting gerbils. When I was little I always had a gerbil but the first two we got (as a pair although they wound up living in side by side cages because they had horrible bloody fights) we adults when we got them and they never really tamed down. After the first two we always got young gerbils and made sure to handle them a lot especially when they were young and they made really wonderful pets. :D

DA:O and DAI are pretty tied for fave game. I really enjoyed the many different starting points in origin and how they tied in with each other sometimes. DA2 I wasn't really happy with it felt very linear at some points and I didn't like that there was only Kirkwall to explore after DA:O gave us a lot of Ferelden

I think that was the last day I played too lol but it is cool they just added something were the weather affects what shows up its pretty neat :O I actually work in Dallas :D Maybe we could meet up sometime or something :D It was fun meeting Merlot, we plan to hang out again eventually lol!!
