(And unfortunately, maybe it wasn't "perfect" after all...sounds like they may have lost the central core. That part of the video cut out and they said they lost the feed because of vibrations on the antenna. I found another video with audio stating they "lost the core" but maybe they just meant the signal? Well, if it didn't make the landing that sucks but this is the positivity thread, dammit, and this is no place for that. So we'll just disregard it. lol)

it would be great if all went perfectly, but its called a test flight for a reason! And much has gone superbly! Still a successful test :)

@ Lypsyl Indeedly-doo. If something went wrong, they'll learn from it and I'm sure they'll nail it next time. As you said, that's the point of a test. In any case, Starman made it to space and he's gonna be riding around up there for a very long time. :P (I hope there is going to be somewhere to follow the payload for as long as possible after this.)

Edit: There is, for now anyway! That's so nuts. XD Ok fine, I love that Elon launched his car into space. I was just a lil' salty cuz I would have taken it if he just wanted to dispose of it...haha

Waiting around for appointments the past few days, I'm managed to get a good amount of reading done :)

The sky is finally clear! I saw some stars and the moon last night as the clouds parted. There is a screaming sunball in the sky right now and I'm not even mad; in fact, I opened my curtains (this is rare). I enjoy some good rain but I've got to be able to see the stars now and then or I actually start to feel claustrophobic...

Got a new mouse today!!!! Which means I can throw my old double-clicking defective one in the wall and smash it with a hammer
