Either way, it's looking super nice, splotch or no splotch!

And okay, I'll keep that in mind for when I end up buying some watercolours (which might take a few months... maybe a year).

Thanks! We always see the imperfections in our own work :).

Good luck with the water color project!

I'm a regular offender for not photographing my work, especially when it's something like a scarf or hat I used a pattern to make. (All of the gloves/arm warmers I may have recently mentioned fall into the 'never going to be documented abyss' category since I used patterns I found on the web.) >>; The coworker gifts have zero documentation (the hat was a simple thing, seamless rounds of half double crochet stitches in the colors of the Mexican flag, the scarf was made from a pattern that I'd used for another gift last year, the pattern can be found on this page, should you be so inclined to check it out), but I do have photos of a few of my things. The easiest way would probably to direct you to my dA gallery (here), but it has a little more than just my handicrafts stuff, and it's missing one of my WIPs (a bronze dragon, though I've been told he looks more like the start of a teddy bear when he doesn't have his tail; front and side). The only Christmas gift I got around to uploading is the amigurumi minion plush (this piece), though I did get a picture of the cross stitch piece I did, I'm just not sure it'll make it onto the internet since copyright with it could be a little fiddly as I was working from a photo of someone else's work... Forgive my URL abuse, I'm afraid most of the photos are probably too big to just go tossing into a forum post (which I've made monstrous enough as is with just text), and forgive the mediocre photo qualities, I rely on the only device I have for photos, which is my mobile phone. (I'd use a digital camera my mum passed down to me, but I've yet to track down the USB transfer cord for it, and it's ancient in technology years at this point even if I adore the thing.) And having noticed your talk of watercolors! My personal choice is Reeves gouaches, they can be used straight from the tube like an acrylic or thinned with water (you can even mix them with acrylics should you be so inclined, fun trick a uni professor taught us since it's cheaper to buy blacks and whites as acrylics when you use more of them for darkening/lightening), they're decently cheap to buy as a boxed set, and the quality is decent enough considering the comparatively low price. They also have the advantage of working decently on most paper choices; watercolor paper, bristol, I've even made do with thicker sketch pad paper before.

I've never done crochet before, or worked with knits before. I'm more of a sewing/embroidery person. I love the photos you've shown though, the items look really amazing! The photo quality is also good enough to show the item, that's the most important thing no? Maybe if you're showcasing them to sell them, then you'd have to take higher quality photos. Otherwise, they're fine as is :)

Oooh, thank you for the tips! I've written them down, together with 's, for future use.

Daily positivity: I got new glasses and a lot of my colleagues have complimented me on them. Which is really nice, because I was a bit unsure about the frames (the glasses are a lot bigger than I'm used to).

A minor health issue that's been plaguing me for over a year seems to have vastly improved in the past couple of days.

I am into so many handicrafts, it's absurd. (My mum is convinced I'm her mother reincarnate since she apparently had all the same crafting talents.) Thank you so much~!! It always means the world to me to hear someone thinks I do good work (as well to hear that the photos are of sufficient quality, I worry about that probably more than I should for a person that doesn't do this for a living).

For my positivity (aside from being ecstatic about the positive remarks on my work c; ), I'm slowly working through my enormous hoard of yarn! (Which means I might be able to justify buying more yarn in the near future. I like yarn.) I also learned another new crochet stitch, the puff stitch; not certain I'll use it anytime soon, but knowledge is power, as far as I'm concerned.

Glad to hear that! What was is, if that's okay to ask? Feel free to slap me if that was too personal/private a question xD

You're very much welcome, talent and hard work should always be acknowledged, imo!

Daily positivity: Postmodern Jukebox is coming to Belgium and I just got tickets! And it's on my birthday as well! ❤

I finally found a location in Skyrim that was eluding me. Took me ages to find the stupid spot, and I just couldn't let it go. LOL didn't even find anything really good in the treasure, but was relieved to find it and be able to move on!

I finished a couple of pages for the website I'm currently working on and it's going reasonably good so far! Rewriting the old site definitely paid off, even though I had to spend a whole week doing so xD

I thought of a use for the new stitch I learned! I'm going to work up half a scarf and see if I like the way it looks (that way I can just frog it if I don't like it and not be out anything), I'm tolerably hopeful about it.

My drawing is improving daily since I started putting time into actually practicing. Who knew playing video games could be so productive?
