there is most likely a Hotspot limit. I know my parents have one, they were using their tablet to make a hotspot at our river place thinking it was unlimited since we have an unlimited data plan, so they were streaming movies and stuff..... Hit the max and now the hotspot speed is throttled bigtime, lol.
