Drew grinned up at Lenore () when she handed him a chocolate cauldron. "Thanks," he said. "I'm guessing it's your personal recipe?" He winked, having had the chance to sample Lenore's fire whiskey filled cauldrons during his first term. At the comment about his dog, Drew smiled and said, "This is Dodger. Can't imagine how you've missed him before. He usually begs treats from every lady he can. Be a gentleman, Dodge." At the small command, the dog sat up straight and offered his paw with grave dignity.
When the conversation turned from fashion to fun, Drew was immensely glad. And the comments of the girls assured him he was right about Lenore's candy. Happily, he took a bite and was rewarded with the burning warmth of the fire whiskey. He had to grin at the vast difference from this and the first one he'd had where he'd practically choked on it. Now it slid smoothly down his throat. He'd come a long way in the short time he'd been at Hogwarts. Or at least Drew liked to think so.
"Unofficially? Isn't that just another way of saying we possess originality?" Drew questioned with a slightly devious grin. "And the administration wouldn't want to discourage our natural talent surely. After all creativity is a gift that should be nurtured so that it will thrive. And we in Slytherin take that job seriously." He tried to look all serious and solemn and then grinned and popped the rest of his chocolate cauldron in his mouth with a wink.

"Thanks, Elizabeth. I think Uncle Marco is planning to send me an owl, but of course I'm not supposed to know that." Callista sighs. "You know, I always thought 'unofficially' was our designated speciality. And if the administration benefits from that, as we all know they do, they have no reason to interfere."

Lenore took Dodges paw demurely and said "How do you do, Dodge?" He was actually rather cute for a dog. She would have to remember to pass him a treat now and then.
"And yep, my own specialty." she winked back at Drew and then sighed. "Still not as good as mum's though. I can't seem to get it just right."
Settling back into her place, still on the arm of Elizabeth's chair, she listens as her housemates give their thoughts on the 'unofficial' nature of Slytherin and she can't help but agree. They are who they are after all. And she wouldn't change that for anything. This is where she belongs.

"And let me guess, your mum won't send any cauldron cakes to you?", Elizabeth asked with a light chuckle when Lenore() started talking about the family recipe. She broke off another piece of the chocolate and ate it. She didn't mind Lenore sitting on the arm of the chair at all if she was happy with that.
"You can still act surprised", she said with an amused grin after Callista() told her about the owl. "I'm pretty confident with the family owl, though. They produce too much dirt if you ask me. There are still school owls, yet they are not top-notch, but they'll get the job done as well." With a smile she looked around, happy to be surrounded by likewise minds. ( )

"Oh, I will!" Callista smiles. "I said I could manage with the school owls, but my family insists that if I don't have my own, I won't know who else might be reading my mail. We do have our own box in Hogsmeade, and I'll bet they'll use that, too." She shakes her head. "I wonder what sorts of big secrets they think Fiammetta and I have got?"
