Wings were denied for the following novelized reasons:

• OVERLAY: Shaky, rough, or inconsistent lineart • ITEM and OVERLAY: Sticker effect: flatness due to black lineart around the edges and colored or missing lineart inside • ITEM and OVERLAY: Ambiguous shading/light source unclear • OVERLAY: Shading is too faint • ITEM and OVERLAY: Over-sharpened artwork • NOTE: Many of these issues were not apparent on the original item due to how dark it was. However, they will need to be corrected for this and future recolors! • NOTE: Overall, this looks very oversharpened - particularly the lineart on the overlay, but the item's shading and lineart also suffer from this. • NOTE: It's very difficult to determine the shading and light source on this recolor. Light source should always come from the top left, and it's rather ambiguous on the overlay at the moment! • NOTE: To address the item in particular, the light source is a bit ambiguous - this may be due to the light line along the bottom of the stomach and legs. • NOTE: Both the item and overlay suffer from the sticker effect - the item doesn't have much dark and defined lineart inside it, and the overlay has very thin lineart on the inside (especially the edges of the wings facing the HA) where it overlaps with the rest of the item. This combined with the very thick outer lineart makes it appear a bit flat!

I'll be repinging everyone with the 'updated' version. Because for some reason, they needed to repeat themselves several times: TL;DR:

'lineart needs to be softer' 'Lighting needs to come from 1 solid direction' 'stronger shading'

Why I got a novel, I don't know.
