Where you use presents! to spam 100sp items to a friend a couple million sP at a time and then you fire a couple million sP in 100sp gifts back at them to frag, which resulted in being able to generate maybe 10K HPCs in an hour and a half for about 300sp each.

They raised the price to 1001sp minimum. Also the way you did it before, you used the browser opera to click and hold down enter, and it would fire off the gifts at much higher rates than you can achieve now. Now you need to click for each gift you send.

current price of Humming Power Crystal is 2500 and it goes up to 4000 when new items come out. 1001 sP is less than either of those numbers. Remember, each item that is fragmentizeable, no matter what, gives you one crystal.

I want to see the ability to bulk sell/buy/gift all currencies except those that go directly into your vault.
I don't even mind if there is a "surcharge" to do this.
Stuffing 1 crystal under someone's tree is pretty pointless when even the cheapest items in the shop cost at least 500 crystals. But I don't want to spam them with crystals either, that's just annoying. Stretches the gift page, makes it harder for the user to send thank you notes and is just plain messy. But a nice polite 10, 50 or 100 crystal item would be perfect.

THIS. Get some of those extra crystals out. Prices for large sums of tokens cost more than if you buy smaller chunks as well, so you wouldn't really lose much sP and it would take some out of the system.
I'm still dying for this x_x Would make gifting easier and I'm sure it would be easier on the servers if you could buy them in denominations instead of having to click over and over to buy multiple crystals from a user shop..
This has been suggested before, and Keith has said he doesn't want to add increments of crystals because the whole point of crystals is to make them yourself, and with the drastic increase to crystal drop rate recently, I don't see his stance changing.
That being said, I would love it if crystals could come in increments; in addition to it being a server strain trying to move thousands of them at once, it would make buying them from user shops easier. The increments should be small and few, though, so it's still a little tedious to buy them. Maybe just increments of 10 and 50. Make them available for purchase all the time from the Crystal Shop, but still keep the half hour delay between purchases so you can't convert all your crystals into higher increments all in one go.
Somehow i missed this board, but I'd like to add in my two cents. If it was like RB currency, with no way to "sell" the point, I wouldn't bother with the suggestion, but since you CAN buy it as HPCs, I'd like a way to store it, gift it, sell it, etc. (I don't want all my points in my bank where I can't ever remove them).
Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
I've changed my mind on this and am now in favor of being able to combine crystals into larger chunks. The prices of the items in the shop have inflated so much that I don't think the increased number of crystals you can get from fragging by yourself is enough to offset the cost.

My original objection to the making it easier to get crystals in the first place was exactly what is now complaining about. The same items and kinds of items are available, but for much more clickage altogether, especially if you didn't fragmentize yourself. Staff assured us with much confidence that this would not be the case.
I still think that Humming Power Crystals should NOT be an easily fungible currency.
I'm not complaining, just stating that I changed my position based on personal experience with the shop.
My opinion is that if the currency comes in a physical form, it should come in denominations to make selling/trading easier. Wizard Tokens and the Steamworks currencies do it; Crystals, Vesnali Coins, Candy Hearts, etc. need to get on the train.
Say, here's an idea: what if larger increments of Humming Power Crystals are implemented, but the larger increments are account-bound? I know I posted on this thread earlier this year with a totally different suggestion, but here's what I'm thinking now:
Item names: Sack of 100 Humming Power Crystals and Sack of 1000 Humming Power Crystals Those are the only denominations, and they're both rarity 202, so they can't be put into shops or shared with other users in any way.
When you click an HPC in your inventory, there's an option called Combine Into Sack. If you click that with at least 100 HPCs onhand but less than 1000, you'll get a Sack of 100. If you click it with at least 1000 HPCs onhand, you'll get a Sack of 1000. Clicking the option with less than 100 HPCs onhand will net you an error message along the lines of "Oops! You don't have enough of that item!" Sacks of 100 cannot be combined into Sacks of 1000, and once you've combined your HPCs into sacks, there's no turning them back into singles. Turning in HPCs at the Crystal Shop works like usual, except it pulls the Sacks and singles from your inventory.
I think this would work. Since the denominations would be account-bound, you'd still have to make and buy the singles yourself, which keeps the tedium the system is meant to have. In contrast to my previous suggestion, the denominations would NOT be available from the Crystal Shop, because you're not supposed to be able to get HPCs out of your bank once they're in there. It would also alleviate the load times and server strain that comes with moving around thousands of items at once. (As far as I can recall, literally every page timeout I've ever encountered that wasn't tied to site-wide server hiccups was because of moving HPCs around.)
Remember, making and buying HPCs is supposed to be kind of a pain in the ass, but if this is implemented, at least moving around HPCs you already have wouldn't be.
