I think you're right. The second wave items are likely to be as scarce as hens' teeth until next year. Getting drowned in ears and dwarfs is also boring.

<p>Just think, next year you won&;t get any ears (since it&;ll just be 2017 + 2018 things) and then you&;ll fondly miss them. Like others have suggested, def frag them if you don&;t want them. has been great about adding an item or two every week or so to the Crystal Shop. ToT items are easy peasy crystals since the change we made where they give at least 1 crystal each!
A very large chunk of items last year were those ears though. Once the second wave of items come out for ToT this year, there will be more items in each user pool group. This means the odds of you getting an ear/dwarve vs other item from 2016/2017 will be lower, because the other items will outnumber them by a lot more. You'll still get an ear or two, I'm sure, but maybe not on the same scale as now. :)

I like how I open this thread, nod and agree that there's a lot even if I haven't been getting too many-- And then the next thing I get is a dwarf. Darn it!
Yeah, they're a bit excessive along with the other ears. I mean, I don't mind padding out my wardrobe + fragging stuff, but... mmm. Hopefully that'll change once wave 2 hits.

I just frag them. I always need something from the crystal shop and so far, Morostide's been great for that. If I didn't need the pumpkin achievements, those would be shoved in there too.
I figure whatever extra dwarves I get I'll frag or hoard or use for tc fodder and the extra ears who knows lol

While I do need some to finally get the achievement for Don't Toss The Dwarves, I'm starting to feel overwhelmed with just getting only these things.Maybe the Recycle Beast will ask for them after Morostide.

I will say that I hope if we get more items like this in the future, staff considers making them a transformable item rather than throwing 48 different colors into the ToT pool. They haven't gotten in the way of me getting what I really want too much, but even with the release of the second wave of items, I'm getting way too many - every other item is an ear, pretty much, and I've had all of them since last year. :B

I've had one 2017 item this morning. Everything else has been figurines and ears.

I'm getting about 8-10 items from previous years for a ratio of 1 from 2017 in every row or so. Ears and elves ears have been more popular though. I'm not sure why we are getting more of these and the rest is more of a rarity.
I really do hope that overall, more items from the second wave will show up. There are 6 days left and hopefully a time decrease towards the end.
I'm dropping 'em all in a gallery for now and decide what I want to do with them later.
Of the two, I don't mind getting more dwarves than ears, though, since I can keep 'em all together. :P
