I appreciate Thanksgiving more now too. I'm planning my first Friendsgiving this year. I've been wanting to do one for years but I'm never home for Thanksgiving and my professors loved having midterms and having essays/presentations due after Thanksgiving break. What do you usually do for Thanksgiving? c:
I'm going to do four Thanksgiving related events this year, a new record for me haha. Thanksgiving with my family, a potluck at work, Friendsgiving on Thanksgiving Eve, and a Friendsgiving this Saturday.
First up is homemade pumpkin and apple pie! I've been saving cute ideas for pie crust designs from Instagram.
It's nice that you're hosting a Friendsgiving. I'm a big supporter of that kind of gathering.
Friendsgiving sounds lovely! I've never done that before, usually just one thanksgiving with my family. Although here in Canada its not as huge of a deal as it is in the US

Hollynd is my OC but I currently only have my new OC Parker on the Student Roster right now! I haven't RPed with Parker yet. Hollynd is studying abroad at Beauxbatons but she'll be back eventually.

It just occurred to me, as someone who used to really be into MLP, that Callista is a human Rarity to some degree--obsessed with fashion, generous to a fault, and that part of the way she expresses her ambition is helping people and making friends with everyone, because she is kind, but ALSO because being kind and helpful and friendly means that you have favour exchanges going on with everyone and people remember you fondly and want to help you.
(I totally have, and have had for years, the headcanon that Blaise Zabini and his family were never aligned with YKW even though Blaise and Draco were friends, because it's a large multicultural family--they're black, but the name Zabini originates in Tuscany and Lazio outside of Rome, and is also fairly common in Switzerland. I suspect they've made their fortune by being willing to associate and work with everyone and that they're deeply involved in trade between the wizarding world and the mundane world. I think "Cousin Blaise" may actually work for Gringotts and/or the Ministry in some position like that.)
