Mmm no. Not supporting.
The whole point of BHH is that it's unpredictable. You have to be dedicated to actually want to RS from there, this just sounds lazy and you want to profit of it by knowing when it will RS, not because of an SP sink...
Lots of good constructive opinions around, as well as a few old faces I'm no stranger to seeing with silly accusations.
The average user has 21,077,322 sP The richest user has 52,104,428,651 sP There is a total of 3,033,153,155,713 sP

First of all, for the children and immature folks who think Im looking to do nothing but 'further get a leg up on everyone', and to involve the BHH into this when there are others who stalk it perfectly between all gap timers, do some of you really think Im trying to fuck things up for everyone? Finding an item there to begin with is akin to winning the lottery regarding odds and luck, and my suggestions do little other than propose and coax even more people to try to battle for the one item if it were to appear any time soon.
Hell, maybe Subeta does need another absolutely useless feature for folks to dump SP into, maybe get an achievement out of it as the only incentive. However, I imagine there are at least 150-200 users that give the BHH a glance each day, and likely half of them check it far more than just once as well. This allows at least a few extra mil to be draining per day, on some days, perhaps even a few hundred mil with excessive 'Re-Buys' into BHH. Perhaps I should have gone extensively into the logistics behind the numbers and what effect it may have on the site overall.
As everyone should know with 'Item SP Sinks'..... not everyone will buy from those limited markets, as I do not believe I've bought a single thing yet from the Antique Shop or otherwise. There just needs to be some sort of new appeal to drain more sp safely without threatening it's source.
Ultimately, its just a suggestion, and whether or not it finds support, criticism, or excessive childish hate, I'll -always- be doing what I can to propose positive solutions for any possible issue.
It's funny how you always resort to calling people immature children when they don't agree with you. Just because someone doesn't have the same opinion doesn't mean that they're dumb kids or people who lack the maturity to look at your posts and form their own opinions. IMHO, it just goes to show how immature you are by trying to discredit people instead of listening to their arguments and taking into consideration what they say. You are far from the most mature, adult person on this site.
Please try to refrain from name calling and stick to the topic suggested, and not personal jabs. Always remember the community guidelines. Thanks!
We definitely need a sP sink, but not this one. My reasons are pretty much the same the others said:
And if anyone wants to take the time to go back through allllllll history, topics, and mentions.... and see what names seem always be intimately close with something to say... X3 Im not bothered by the fact that people disagree or have their own opinions, as my opinion on the matter, is they did not take enough time to fully understand what was said or lain out in front of them.
There's a polite way to disagree, and then there isnt. If anything, Subeta needs to develop another method to bring everyone closer, more vulnerable, and actually get to know one another rather than put up their walls and usual defensive mechanisms. I know it would help out on my end, and I can only hope it would aid in others being less hasty in piling in on others when they happen to spot something they dislike.
If I ever did say something that offended you to have you feel you need to drop your two cents on everything I happen to post... Please, do share. Mail me and get it off your chest. Same goes for everyone who had an issue with me, beyond the fact that "I buy low, I sell high, cuz merch life". Im completely open to clear as much dirt with you as I can, whether or not it's going to get anywhere. ^^
Firstly, thanks for the compliment and your obvious show of "a polite way to disagree" Secondly, I have stated my opinion as such for the following reasons:
If there does happen to be an sp sink, I don't think BHH should be included.
Multiple people disagreeing with you doesn't automatically mean it's "excessive childish hate", it could just mean people don't like your idea for one reason or another.
I didn't see anyone being impolite in their disagreements until you felt the need to defend your suggestion, which I also disagree with for reasons that others have already covered.
Even with your elaboration (and insults. thx for those btw!), it's still a no from me, sorry. BHH is fine as it is.
The fact that everyone (and I haven't seen any support to your idea at all) in here does not support you doesn't mean that everyone who came here to give their feedback (because this is the purpose of the Suggestions & Ideas thread) is 12 years old. For a fact, most of them have ages old accounts in here and they have stated their opinion in a very, very respectful manner, and I really reiterate how they understood your suggestion and they came here to give you their two cents: no.
Therefore, I disagree with this idea. I could quote how many times others have said this but I don't have the time to read through the "nos" and "dont's". I have two pages of posts just reinforcing this idea. Nope.
An up on the Potion Lottery is a good start, but that is still purely dependent upon enough people using it. Up the price a bit much, then the casual players or noobies are likely to stop playing. There's always going to be a risk to everything, including both the risk of absolutely screwing things up for everyone, or making absolutely no impact at all and therefore just wasting staff's time.
And sadly; here's the reason why Im not interested in the antique shop, or 95% of the items in the Millionaire Center, or pretty much anywhere: Most are absolutely useless or do not meet my opinion of cost effectiveness. I am here with one goal; to battle, amass things, and hope some day down the road player to player battling is implemented. Likely never will, but hey, would be pretty sweet in my eyes. Now with that dream in mind, the wise plan for me is to spend minimal time, interest, and funds in anything that does not relate to that end goal. Only weapons, some books, and stat boosters are all I've ever found interest in.
The antique shop appeals to perfectionists and completionists, those who want to finish whatever collection or have every single item or whatever, as are most of the other high end shops. Most of the items there have no practical use. The weapons found there are mostly eh as well.
As far as making the BHH pay to win, I still do not think you are understanding the concept of what I suggested at all. Paying any amount of SP to only found out that an item will be appearing within a wide time window does only just that; it tells you, that eventually, something will show. And that you should waste time and focus into clicking BHH in hopes you're the first to get it.
What this mechanic actually does: allows the casual BHH checkers to keep checking at their own rate. Lets those greedy-play-to-win players waste their sp and keep checking for something that they still have no solid idea of what it is, and when it is going to be, at least when such wide and vague time windows are the -only- thing revealed.
There needs to be more ways that SP can be -consistently- pulled, and more veteran players will have more SP to dump and risk trying to nab something from BHH.
I'll be posting another suggestion later today or tomorrow once I math out better details on how such would work; as the next suggestion I'll be dropping targets only those who Battle, Train Excessively, have lots of time on their hands, and have TONS of CSC/SP.
You have simply backlashed your own arguments.
Why on the face of Earth would someone spend 10sP on a feature that does not give you any hint at all. It's like saying "The Token Shop will restock in a month! Stay tuned!". There's simply no point, at all. You're trying to argue saying that people will use this function only to know that there's going to be a restock and will pay millions to use it, and that this will be an effective sP sink, even more than the Antique Shop because BHH stalkers are not perfectionists or completionists. Get yourself a magic 8-ball for cheaper.
Please stay on the topic of the board.

I think the best thing for the BHH is just for people to read guides on how to do it. About a year ago I didn't understand the BHH AT ALL. I'd never seen an item in there, I was always getting kicked out for refreshing repeatedly....
Now I DO understand the BHH and I'm at about 65/100 for the current tier of purchases. I don't think the BHH is that difficult, or is like 'winning the lottery'. I just think it takes the patience to learn the concept behind it, and possibly bookmarking it (that's what I do! And every time I come online or check my messages I also check BHH).
I think an SP sink would be better somewhere else, because I feel that people who do understand BHH would never use this feature. (I know I for sure wouldn't, because even a 'this hour' wouldn't tell me enough to be worth the cost since refreshing too much boots you out.)
it is a ruse at BHH monopoly is what it is. Very few will use it because practically only persistent stalker will benefit from it. although it could remove a tiny amount of sp from the total economy, the items themselves will become more out of reach to regular users.
Oh, I understand you quite well! But I'm afraid that you, for whatever reason, don't seem to understand what people have been trying to tell you about why this idea wouldn't work outside of your theories.
And given that explaining things is proving to be a bit like carrying water with a sieve, I'm done with this topic.
Farewell and was lovely engaging via verbal combat, I suppose. :P
There's never going to be an ultimate be-all fix that will leave everyone happy, and ultimately, it is up to staff to see if such an idea is one worth implementing or not, when comparing the impact of something like this to something such as reducing everyone's SP quest gains, or an overall tax.
Hell, I'd extremely be in favor of everyone getting slashed with a % tax depending on their account age and wallet size if a lot of people believe this is the way to go.
I'm against this. The BHH has always been a gamble and it's one piece of the site that has remained relatively unchanged. I think it really needs to stay that way.
There is another way you could do a sP sink. Why not have a way like once a day (or every 12 hours) you could spend some sP to get a random amount of CSC that won't go higher than maybe 100 CSC (could also throw in a chance at some rare item or something instead, make it a real gamble)? That way instead of sP going from user to user, it could just simply be deleted from the website instead.
I don't really expect that to stick, but everyone wants CSC, so why not just find a way to do that and delete sP from the site as well?
What also is going on with the Anqitue shop? That kind of had a nice rush of items for a bit then it just died out. That was meant to be a sP sink I believe?
