OMG the battle shop is closed!! I'm so stoked I can't sit still until it's open back up again :P
I haven't tried Maliss yet, but I will try some time this weekend. Have you tried beaten Vintage Prod? 's tier 8 pets got 5 wins so I'm thinking of pushing Maskros past win 5. I won't be able to do that soon though so if you've got time to beat Prodigy I'll lend you my Frostbite Amulet first. Please do let me know! :D
- I have time to battle. In fact that's what I've just been doing. I was just taking a short break because Shinwas Quest has finally reset and I need to do today's quests. Then back to battling since my BQs are done. :-)
LOL (for not reading posts) nope. didn't beat maliss poop on the new battle stuff. i'd LOVE to get some. i don't think my pet is EVER going to make it up there to start getting some of the "good stuff" heh
(giggles , if i was good enough i'd battle ya! GOOD LUCK with the witch in the oven) :D Oooo, just saw you beat her 10 times! GOOD FOR YOU! :D
, I Have a couple of those i've been holding on to them, to use for when i'm really trying to beat some one special. (Like NightLady) heh
QUESTION i've noticed that a lot of you "professional" battlers, use the WHEN do you use it? it doesn't seem to do a thing for me. and it's only 1 time use.
so at what point in the battle, would you use it? and what's it suppose to do. because it always tells me (something like...) "i wonder what it did"
and that's exactly what i'm wondering LOL
Haha, anytime or place :P Mhmm! She was easier than I thought she'd be!
Most challengers you would use it the second turn after you've frozen them along with your Soma Tablets! It turns one of your opponents weapons into a 'Recycle Wad' which does 1 :dmg:physical: So you can imagine how useful this can be if you knock out the right weapon!
I'm guessing any battle tokens we earn are still being kept track of while the shop is closed.
Excited for the revamp and other things to come! :o
Mhmm, they better 'cause I've been farming opponents all morning to get some tokens :P
I wonder what items will be added and taken away? And then hinted that they have some other things planned as well (mentioning the potions and pylonics), so it seems like an exciting time for battlers at least! :)
aahhhh, that's why i see the 2 of them together all the time! THANK YOU! that helps
i have decent weapons, but WHEN to use them is the hard part. :)
and i realize, it's who you are fighting and what the challenger is hitting YOU with. but even getting an idea of "how/when" to use the weapon, helps me alot
(why i go to mr.cools if i can, before battling a challenger) at least i get an idea of what weapons to use, and an approximation of WHEN to use them.
:) Thanks for the info!
I know right, I'm super excited to see what they're doing with the battle shop! Especially IMP tokens because lord knows how hard they are to get, and what limited use they are as of now! I'm with and hope they release some actually decent weapons for us, or even some new opponents!
Mhmm, make sure you use them both at the same time for added varvarvoom! Soma + Blaster = 2 weapons your opponent has are useless! Make sure you only use them when they're frozen or if you can take the hit!
You Won! You have defeated Prodigy Swagga earned 3500 EXP Points! BQs done - 2 IMP tokens, booo
I'm not a seasoned expert, but my strategy when I was like Tier 9 & 10 (and still now depending on the challenger) was to freeze the first turn, use the soma tablets & recycle blaster the second turn along with a freezing scroll (if you have one). And then I would use my main weapons and healing scroll. I didn't really have any blockers like the rainbow vortex, but I'd use my healing items when my health got low, It's not the best strategy, but if you're like me without any super great weapons, it works well enough.
More weapons or something to spend Impossible tokens on would be cool! I wonder how they would price things though, of course it shouldn't be easy to get, but the 100 tokens for the components already seems like a monumental task to save enough. Even if you can complete levels 26-30 of BQs every day, you're not guaranteed 5 Imp tokens for doing it.
Finally, win number four on Maliss Bopper. Just one more to go now. Holds breath and heads back to Battle Coliseum.
- you can buy more Negating Pylonics. They stock at the Apothecary (although you will probably never see any there). But they do usually sell for about a third the current cost if you catch them in between big demand times (like battle events).
I like to blast and freeze both on the first turn of the battle. Yes, it leaves me unprotected and sometimes I regret it. But when I do get lucky, it leaves me in great shape and lets me hit my frozen opponent with two unblocked attackers. A little different than or most of the other battlers, but it seems to work for me. Of course, I don't have Soma Tablets, so I can only do a single blast.
I'm really hoping to some 50+ icon block weapons, especially earth and physical - Lord knows I'm missing those in my armory 100 imp tokens is so hard to get already, so I'm not expecting really high amounts of imp token items xD
Mhmm! I tend to do that myself now, now more so than ever because I can tank a lot of hits. Especially in BQs because I like to freeze for bombs instead of blasting! but for lower tiers, I think freezing then blasting works better!
ok. what do you use as a freezer, if you're using those 2 weapons first. i'm guessing it has to be a scroll/potions(pylonic, throwing vial/
i'm lucky, i have shinwas shard, rainbow vortex and lion reaver, phonix quill heh those take up 4 weapon slots
OH i can use the Sierrac Basal Ice Flail that will also help me heal, along with my gutting knife, and trident
You get me! You really GET me! ❤
Oh for sure its a scroll, shriek of despair usually. Orrr just the helmet + mecha first turn - then blasting second.
but yeah, I usually chain freeze with shriek of despair scrolls!
You Won! You have defeated Malerias Familiar 25 times! You won a(n) Impossible token to use in the battle shop! Swagga earned 50 EXP Points!
- I tried it that way, back when and others first taught me about blasting and why it is usually better than stealing, but I seemed to die more often that way (maybe just my strange RNG luck - or even my incorrect impression). I usually survive the first round (although sometimes I take a BIG hit for my health). When I survive the first round with most of my health intact, and the challenger is frozen but I'm not then I know I'm likely to have a good battle with a reasonable chance to beat whoever I'm fighting. It would be really interesting to somehow manage to do a statistical analysis and find out whether there is actually any difference. I thing that blasting right away takes away their weapon immediately and since the blaster can't be blocked, but the attacker can, my intuition says that my way should come out better in the long run (assuming, of course that you survive the first round of the battle). It turns out to be very helpful when you wind up both being frozen, since the blasting has already been done when they hit you the second time.
I wish I could chain freeze, although sometimes I get lucky with Rapier of Error, UltimaPlus Tag and one Perilous Whirlpool Scroll. So I guess, I really should say, I wish I could chain freeze more reliably. Working on it ... slowly, but it will come. :-)
The freezer items I would use both come from the battle shop, so hopefully they're still options when it reopens.
Strategies can be different for everyone though, as mentioned she has a bit of a different one. I personally just preferred to freeze the opponent on the first turn and then use the blasters in the second turn, but it's really up to you.
As you battle more, you can try to pay attention to the different opponents, because they tend to have patterns that they follow sometimes (like certain opponents that almost always try to freeze you on the first turn). Especially for BQs, it helps once you know what to expect from the different challengers and you can adjust your strategy accordingly. The more you battle, the better you'll get at making the judgement on when to use which weapons (as long as you're familiar with what they do and how they'll help you).
This is true, when I blast on 1st turn and they are using the same weapon I blasted its changed automatically which is nice But, imo its like wasting your first turn because your not getting any damage in! Your just going head on with a blaster + freezer so you'll most likely be recovering from that attack the entire battle if you can't make it up in the next turn. I think its completely relies on which opponent you fight against, I'm less likely to be risky against say Prodigy than I am Saggitarius! but yeah, both have their usefulness and it depends solely on who I'm fighting!
