Ugh we need 50 wins on GE? Gross =x

I found her to be very easy with cronus and unstable syringe. I sacrificed block when I switched to cronus but the boosting helped power my crits so she couldn't out heal me unless she used all healers in a turn. The bear head bomb also helped do a lot of damage.

Any idea what the freeze rate is on the scroll?

You used to get cronus by beating meatslab the furious 5 times. As long as baal is an achievement still for 5 wins, you combine that with the other win 5 drops from meatslab (the flayed breast plate and bluud wand) at genetech and you will create the cronus blade.

The unstable syringe is now an achievement drop for beating mutant scientist 5 times

Almost beat him 10 times without taking any losses. The jerk decided to crit me at the point I decided to try and finish him with my bear head bomb.

The tome drops definitely make it worth beating her

do you know if there are threads anywhere that tell how to beat Furious and Mutant? I didn't have time to dig into them as I was cranking out maximum XP more than anything and didn't suspect that TPTB were gonna "achievementize" the wins.

Yeah, definitely. I had to strategize to figure out what weapons to use against her. I ended up going with a Swashbuckle (which seemed to work because she doesn't block water) and an Elemental Trident because of its icons and blocking. I didn't think to try Unstable Syringe.

What new mods? o.O; I thought smasher was an achievement for beating GE 10 times unless that's changed now?

But just a quick summary: Meatslab is like a catch 22. Meatslab does a lot of magma so the best weapon to use for him is either the cronus blade or the original god magma blocker. A lot of people borrow cronus from others that already have one in order to beat meatslab. He also does a lot of fire, and dark with the potential to do over 100 physical with his mighty flex. They also boost his strength and defense by a lot. You will definitely want to blast one of those and try to blast a bluud wand that can heal him for ridic amounts.

Mutant scientist does a lot of earth so OHS is really good. She does a lot of different icons, but water and dark come up a lot with her. I used cronus as my second weapon though because she can do some magma, but the boosting was more important to me since she always has weapons that boost her stats.

I'm not really sure what all of the crystals do yet, I've seen people post getting them but IDK if the stats have been posted for all of them.

There were new mod crystals released as well, as loot drops for wins beyond 10 for certain opponents. Like 25 wins or more in various increments or whatever. I don't have exact data on when they all drop.

And the Psycho Smasher can also be obtained by beating GE 50 times* now, not sure if you can get more than that by getting like 75 or 100 wins or anything though.

*50 times with a single pet, that is.

Lol it's probably just a result of everyone trying to do so much at once. Hopefully it evens out soon though.

mm. i slept on it and thought about it today, and i'm not mad about the change to the old weapon loot, just a little disappointed. it's either buy it from a user (and i'm sure the market for the good stuff has been upended already, but i can't buy anything rn anyway so i'm not looking) or wait and buy the challenger during black friday, and hope you didn't want one to wear or put in tcs or whatever (sideeyes baal). the change in accessibility is pretty lame but whatever, what's done is done p:

i'm gonna clean up the tattered scroll post and then do regular quests, and then maybe start on battling with widow... gonna take it slow, i want to keep her at 0 losses for as long as possible haha

The new elemental marquise crystals do 5 icons of damage, plus have a curse of 12 icons with a 6% activation rate. (ex: Dark Defense Marquise Crystal has 5:dmg:dark:, curse of Starless Night: 6% 12:dmg:dark:)

The new elemental defense marquise crystals defend 5 icons and have a blessing of 25 icons with a 7% activation rate. (ex: Dark Defense Marquise Crystal has 5:block:dark:, blessing of Nightfall: 7% 25:block:dark:)

The freezing marquise crystal does 4 :dmg🧊 and 4 :block🧊.

I just scored this Morostide a Manifesting Weapon that blocks water. I spent the 450MsP on the OHS. This did shave two of her icons off. Beat her twice, can't get any further, she heals too much. Putting crits in instead of parched/na she freezes me to death, there doesn't seem to be a good medium between hitting her hard enough and not-dying. Just as well I didn't spend much pre-reset time on her..

So I've got a nearly useless Ornamented Hook Swords since it doesn't do what I wanted it to do and/or Magie needs to be stronger. Does anyone have any suggestions as to some other Earth-happy Challengers it might be useful against, just for the lulz?

I split it 2 parched and 2 crit strikes. Since OHS only has 3 mod slots, I did 2 parched and 1 crit strike. I would go for the cronus blade first. It will make her less annoying if you could keep boosting and crit strike her. You could also get lucky and blast the regenerating skins so she can't heal. Either way, I did take quite a few losses getting to 10 wins on her.

The benefit to OHS is that it has steal protection so it works great against anyone that steals so the mage, cinthilocks, GE, etc. The earth block is also good for those opponents as well as crithbolcan, some TBT challengers, xotl prince, and I think some other impossible cash shop challengers

aha, I didn't know it had steal protection. I also couldn't do Cinthilocks or the Elemental Mage because they filched Magie to her doom and the Turkey Quill was just not generating enough decoys.

I'm pretty sure I have all the CS Impossibles even if I can't get a single win in on many of them, so I will check that out. I know that the Manifesting Weapon did short work of the Xotl Prince pre-reset.

any tips for the Lady of the Waters? (weapons which are useful for exmaple...) and is it beatable with a T11 pet who has these stats:
