i think those two guides are pretty much it, i'm not sure if subetalodge has an easy way to search for tiers? tier 4 help! should help though! and gave some pretty extensive responses c: personally my t4s use i only use the grimfruit and shuriken 'cause i already had them, i couldn't justify buying them for a t4 now tbh; l0sts0ul and wesker gave alternatives, like (super cheap genetec combo!) and and rn you have an icy freezing rod, so you could hold off on gorgun for now... but tbh i used my gorgun for ages (like, it was a staple in widowmaker's set until i earned enough tokens to make my , and i still use the thing with my t4s), it's definitely worth saving up tokens for as it's a more consistent freezer than the ice rod

np, happy to help! you're battling with vaerdryn, yeah? you should be able to get at least 5 wins on all the easy and medium challengers (so aboxalypse through vulty), you're going to be raking in the tokens soon enough 8) (hopefully that isn't too nosy, it's just that i'm finishing up battling with my t4s and a couple are close to your guy's stats ;>> )

When I started battling with Verdugo, it was before the tier system so I went out about bought whatever I could early on. Then once the tier system was introduced, Verdugo couldn't use 90% of my armory so I spent a lot of time and sP battling and boosting him so he could use my armory again. There were quite a few items though I had to borrow or get later on. OHS (what I used on nightlady) was something I didn't buy until later on. Previous years of fighting her I had to borrow a gelatin slayer and OHS or used the trident. I think one year I tried my malerias ss and combined it with something else that had a heal on it.

Heheh the most recent target of my verbal abuse is mutant scientist. Trying to get that last win was brutal. I haven't even attempted past 5 on meatslab. I could probably squeeze out a couple more wins but I want to try and go for 5 wins on the castle, which I imagine will be even more painful.

The expensive stuff I use: - expensive but a full healer that you can continue to use even at T13 - expensive, but scales with your pet. Cheaper option that at T10 - useful but not necessary - useful but not necessary

The important thing is also getting your intel up and equipping the right scrolls

Yup he's the one, not nosy at all, don't worry! How/when do you get the tokens exactly? I already have some from last time I played, but it looks like the win count was reset sometime in the last...three years, haha.

Thanks for the list, that's exactly the kind of budget stuff I want. Also good to know what the worthwhile longterm investments are.

oh man, the tier system introduction was such a bummer! Afflicted was probably ~tier 7? I just remember needing to boost to be able to use my trident again and being annoyed as hell. I can only imagine for those with lower pets at the time.

Verdugo was also T7 at the time. I was so upset for a while that I stopped battling altogether. It was super frustrating not having any weapons I could really use. The only things I had that were good to use were my combo legendaries but I couldn't use a majority of my armory because they were all T9+ weapons

Yea it was a very frustrating time indeed! It was definitely for the best and everything, but it was very annoying at the time.

they're random loot drops, i think ><; but you have plenty of opponents to fight between now and the reset (esp if you have/can unlock a bunch of the easier secret opponents), so between all the challengers + battle quests, you'll have plenty of opportunities to win tokens :D

Ok, got 59 more tomes from 420 amulets turned in. Gonna make my final push to get more 10s for more nighlady wins. Ok, using my final 700 boosters now.

- hello. Are you a new battler or a returning one? Either way, welcome - and belated happy birthday, hope it was a good one.

- hi! I have a new little battler who recently turned T4. I can definitely recommend the UltimaPlus Tag, it's still in my default set for my T9 main pet (although I admit I tend to have a budget friendly less than optimal battle set). I also really like the Icy Freezing Rod of Doom. There are also a lot of very affordable T3 weapons that you can use.

SubetaLodge will let you search weapons by tier. Go to their main page and up at the top under LISTS choose weapon list. Then you can choose a tier and some other attributes. It doesn't have the ability to search T4 and below, so you will need to search T1, T2 and T3 separately but it seems to be the best option available for that sort of query right now. Also note that scaling weapons (like the Replica Minotaur Knocker) appear only in their base tier (most of those are expensive so you may not care). Hope that helps.

Sparkling Quill is less than half the cost of the Gold Quill in user shops right now and does more damage and the same heal. And the Jewel-Encrusted Quill does more damage but less heal.

One last thing - if you are considering a Rainbow Vortex or a Shinwas Temple Shard, then you should know that Rainbow Vortex has a small chance to freeze (really nice) but it isn't a full blocker until you reach T5 whereas STS is a T4 full blocker (but no freeze). And each is, of course, only once per battle.

- yes I sort of remember a certain amount of commotion when they started the tier system and battlers where stuck with expensive weapons they could no longer use. I was lucky enough that Tos was high enough Tier to use what she had (of course, it wasn't expensive anyway) but I do kind of remember having to check and thinking it would be so frustrating if she couldn't. :-)
