When I was picked up as a judge, there were probably 500+ pets in the nomination queue. That means that I had to sort through over 500 pets and get them into the win queue or deny them. So that surge after the rule change...that was us playing catch up. I am sorry for the late denials but we really were trying!

There are currently less than 40 in the nomination queue and those were nominated for the most part in August. And that is a lot for how low I HAVE been keeping it because I had it down to 10 or less. There are almost 300 in the win queue. There are 52 weeks in a year and 5 winners per week. That means we have a year's worth of winners. Once it goes into the win queue, it is random who gets picked so we have no control over who wins next.

IF your pet was nominated months ago and it has not been denied then you are in the win queue.

Things to consider:

  1. If you change anything on your profile after it is put into the win queue, it won't be knocked down to the nomination queue but it will be knocked to an updated queue and I (or another judge) has to re-evaluate it. So if you constantly update it, then I have to constantly move it back and that does take time. It doesn't necessarily lengthen your time in the actual win queue because I went over an updated profile and it won a week later. It is still better to try and not update it constantly.

  2. Credit every little thing on the profile. Images, story, art, coding. We can no longer assume that you did things that have no credit because we have found that some people did not do certain things and had no credit. And google images is not a valid source.

  3. Please check the positioning of everything you are including. A lot of times, the pet spotlight text covers something else or the pet like heart is in a weird place. I hate kicking profiles out for little things like that.

I promise we are not playing favorites...it really is random in the win queue.
