Thank you all for the hugs, prayers, and general kindness. Things seem to be calming down around here, particularly in public places. I don't feel as nervous about going out shopping but my dog is rather upset that I don't feel safe enough yet to go on walks outside of our yard when it's just the two of us. With schools starting back, though, there will be more people in the park during the afternoon and evening and I don't worry as much about running into the wrong person without any witnesses. Captain Cornelius especially enjoys barking orders at the cross-country runners this time of year.
