Ah, this list is ever so helpful and thoughtful. Thank you so much for managing it; I think it's a wonderful thing to include in the group given how many of us enjoy gifting others, but don't want to make anyone upset or uncomfortable! Very lovely indeed.
As for me, I'd have to say I very much concur with ' sentiment. I'm okay with gifts, and do greatly appreciate every single one of them that I receive, but I think others should spend their money on themselves or other people! C: There's so many other wonderful people here haha, y'all should pay attention to them instead!

Ah - now that, I... ah... have a hard time explaining how I feel? I actually tried to articulate myself in my other post and blundered through it so badly I gave up and deleted the information, aha. You see, I'm the kind of individual that really hates drawing attention to myself, and so my birthday being one of those "special" days where people pay more attention to you actually makes me feel a bit awkward? I never actually tell people what my birthday is unless specifically asked about it, because I hate making people feel obligated to cater to me or anything.
It's not that I don't appreciate everyone's sentiments and gifts - I do! I very much do. In fact, I really have no qualms with people knowing about my birthday or sending me tokens of their love and appreciation. I think it's really, really sweet when people actually notice, despite the fact I'm so typically close-mouthed about it. I guess you could say I feel very mixed on this notion - I don't like denying people the happiness of giving to others. I know myself how wonderful it is to be thoughtful and generous and do nice things for someone you care about. But on the other hand I basically feel like I don't want to come across as though I expect anything?
TL;DR - yes and no? Is it possible to put some kind of "ask if you want to know" kind of note next to me for the birthday-related shenanigans? It's kind of why I haven't turned the birthday icon off on this site - it's fine with me if people know, but I don't like the idea of shoving it in anyone's face. Gosh I'm so sorry I basically textwalled at you. Talking about this makes me so nervous, and I'm just a big giant heap of awkward. I'm so sorry, ah.

I know your birthday because you're on my friend list but I respect your choice and will write down your preference! It's nothing at all, really. Do keep in mind that I will post a happy birthday wish to you on the companion board (unless you don't want to either)
Oh no, that's totally fine! ❤️ That's something I don't mind at all. Like I said, I'm perfectly fine with people knowing or people who know (like yourself!) telling others. It's more of just in the whole... like... list kind of idea that makes me shy away from it being obvious there? Not sure if that made any sense, aha! xD

My wishlists are a mess right now though because I was in the middle of sorting & consolidating before I had to take a forced holiday, so I wouldn't envy anyone trying to slog through them. I'd rather just give things to people until I can get that sorted... Maybe just.. if ever gifting me anything, make it dinosaur-related? That's a safe bet.
