It's freezing here in Texas! I know the rest of the country is dealing with this as well but it rarely happens here in Texas. Set new records for freezing temps! We got snow flurries and sleet last night and with windchill it was in the single digits here today. But it's Texas so by the weekend we'll be back in the 50-60 degrees range.
It's flu season and we have three more months to go of it. It's slamming Texas hard. A lot of deaths contributed to flu and around 30 in Dallas. One city in Texas has closed down their schools and cancelled all sporting events to prevent the spread of flu. So many cases there it's ridiculous! I know the flu shot is not preventing it this year but it will shorten it and you should get a lighter case of it. I urge everyone to get their flu shots. They are recommending Tamiflu if you get it to also shorten it . Our ER's and clinics are overrun with flu victims here. If you are planning to get the shot and don't have a doctor or don't want to go into the doc's office to avoid the flu victims I would recommend you get it at Walgreens. They have a shot matching program where they donate a flu shot for every one that is purchased there. This is a big help to the world! Y'all stay warm and stay safe out there!

Good info. So sorry for Texans, this flu season is trying to match the weather for being bad. In my area 26 out of 100 are sick even some that have had the shot. Had mine thank God. Hope next year that the vaccine will have all the necessary strains to keep us all healthy.

A whatsapp friend wrote me, so excited about the game. He is originally from Minnesota though he lives in NYC now. I don't know a pass from a field goal, so I told my husband and he watched highlights he was so excited he basically said what had written. Then he watched it again. :) I love the enthusiasm

Laurs : I visited the human's doctor today regarding my cough. I told him that I had a virus in early October. He said that it irritated my bronchi. But when the virus was gone and done, my bronchi were still inflamed and continued to produce mucous. The mucous continued to make me cough, the cough irritated my bronchi...alas, vicious circle called a "Post-viral cough." Untreated, it can last for a year, can cause chronic bronchitis and lead to COPD, ventilators, warts and Donald Trump hair. (just kidding Mr. President, your hair looks just like mine...it's amazing...)

Im getting new medicine now. I also had an xray. They wouldn't let me look at it though. I have never seen an Xray before. I wanted to see where cookies go.

Anyway, the Dr. didn't seem to think that I was going to expire anytime soon. I hope to continue breathing...hopefully soon. The xray man said, "Inhale" but he never said to exhale.....still waiting.

Hi, bears. This is your not-at-all-regular notice that the otter is still alive. I am tired and cold and fighting a period of heavy anxiety as well as a sinus infection. Just wanted to let people know what's going on since I haven't been particularly active lately. Now I'm off to try to take a nap. <3

if there is a Vikings game on you can be sure our @ Laurie was voting and routing for them It was one hell of a game and I can't wait for this Sunday for the next set of games I will be very sad when it is all over and the Super Bowl is done and yes I still am at pants watcher haha but some of the outfits that they wear these days when they are all matching shirts pants and shoes I think they look silly like girls in tights out there playing I like a little Variety in their uniforms And yes that last game was so incredible it kept you on the edge of your seat if not standing up and yelling

Why do they have Niles Peart, the drummer, write all the lyrics when he doesn't sing, why is there a microphone in front of Alex Lifeson when he doesn't sing and why does Getty Lee sound like that? Is he a Wheezle? It seems all the wrong people are doing all the wrong things. Is that a washing machine? Mr. Pearts lyrics are as obscure and weird as Jon Anderson's of Yes.

Dont get me wrong...I love Rush and Yes.

It's just hard to remember the lyrics and to sing along.
