User: Prefers to be called: Rookie is fine! My name is Casey but it's easier to know you're referring to me with my username. Pronouns: They/them, she/her Things I Like: Cats! Fluffy socks. Fantasy anything - video games, books, films/shows (Narnia, Harry Potter universe, GoT some obvious ones). I like some k-pop - Block B (Taeil!) and B.A.P mainly, but also BTS and Red Velvet quite a bit! Music/singing. Hello Kitty. Purple.. but not all shades! Things I Don't Like: Loud noises. I'm tokophobic and also really dislike babies/small children so please avoid topics like that with me, haha. Being in wet clothing. Having chronic pain!! Being hot/sweaty. Being in a situation where I am unable to sit down for a long period of time! Onions. Poor hygiene.
I'm dealing with some social anxiety and my communication can be lacking because of it. I used to have a huge problem with it years ago and improved immensely but unfortunately having chronic pain for 2 years has aggro'd the anxiety beast once more! I may not be the best at keeping replies going, but I swear I am friendly and truly do enjoy talking and making friends. :)
if this "profile" is too much, please let me know . . .

Things I dislike: People who are unkind and insensitive, loud noises, bright lights, social media, temperature extremes, my chronic physical and emotional "disorders" (in a different world where others didn't judge those of us with "differences" those conditions would be somewhat OK, I have learned to live with them, but I am a hermit) being told I talk too much and/or that I'm boring . . . and more.
Hi guys and welcome :)! It's nice meeting you. Take a look around our open threads and come chat with us if you feel like it. For our less-social enby - don't worry! We all try to be friendly and will respect your boundaries (as much as we can)
I just have to ask, do you like Blood, Sweat, and Tears by BTS? Because honestly that song is to die for in my opinion!
Oooh, out of curiosity, do you ever do any train-spotting? I've got a close friend who's into locomotives herself as well, so I'm intrigued! Are there any specific train models you like the most?
[box=#444342]
thanks for the welcome! Do I "know" you, were you in the siblings (the blanket fort folks) team?
I have to admit that I had to look up the definition of trainspotting . . . and I am going to assume that you meant the one which has to do with logging the serial numbers of trains. No, I've never done that.
I like to ride on trains and am attracted to the bygone era when people used trains as their main mode of transport (before everyone owned a car and before people flew). I don't like to fly and haven't owned a car most of my life.
If I were rich I'd love to travel on all the trains all over the world, especially the Orient Express. I'm in the US. There is a pretty cool train museum in the city where I live, but I haven't been there in a long time. I'm mostly housebound these days so I travel via Netflix from the comfort of my bed.
I DO love the idea of traveling by train. I've been from California to Chicago and back a few times, it's a beautiful trip, and it goes through mountains and a great canyon, but it's been over 10 yrs. I'd love to take that train all the way to the East coast some day. It's become a bit too expensive for me, now.
And as for collecting them or knowing anything about the different ones? nope, I remember when I was little and boys were given train sets as gifts but nobody thought that girls would want them, and I was born a girl, and I never thought to ask for what I wanted . . . I didn't even KNOW what I wanted, but I played with my brothers toys AND my own. I liked all the toys, but especially ones that we could build things with.
If I had money and my own home I would definitely own model trains and devote some time to building a wonderful scale model. I'd fill up a huge room. I'd love to build all the little "sets" and do all the work on painting it and putting it all together. sigh.
How about you? Are you a train lover? (I just looked at your likes, and want to say that I also like clocks and time and psychology and some of the other things you said!)
I'm afraid you may mistake me for someone else as I've never been in the blanket fort folks team?
Trainspotting is kind of the locomotive-version of bird watching, if that makes any sense. It's like... an achievement to find and witness each type of train, so yeah, taking record of their numbers/types/etc. Thanks for explaining more about your attraction to them; it's always really interesting to learn about why people enjoy the things they do. I agree that trains seem like a rather pleasant way to travel; much less anxiety-inducing than cars and planes, especially given how frequent accidents are with the former, and how much of a stigma people tend to have about the latter.
It sounds like your trips from California to Chicago were very enjoyable! That's the nice thing, getting to sit back and relax and enjoy all the wonderful scenery. Trains make some lovely sounds, too - their rhythmic noises are quite nice in my opinion. That's also neat to hear you've got a train museum nearby! I visited one of those, once, but I don't think it was in my state. Can't recall where it was now, or what was the occasion for visiting it though.
Making model trains sounds like it'd be a fantastic hobby! I think arts and crafts like that are really fun to get absorbed in; as a highly creative individual myself, I can appreciate the beauty going into building them and putting it together with your own hand. It's so intricate - and as you mentioned liking time/clocks yourself as well, kind of like the gears in a clock, you know? Each part has its own function that creates one large, working mechanism, and that's utterly fascinating! I think building them would be a great use of your time; it's too bad you lack the funds to do so! Not to mention painting them afterwards and really bringing them to life. It just sounds great!
To answer your question, no, I don't actually have a personal interest in trains myself; however, I very much love to hear what other people have to say about things. I'm kind of an individual who can appreciate things even I don't personally have an interest in based off the fact that I care about the person who is interested in it, if that makes sense? The world's a wonderful place, full of so many things. It seems silly to close oneself off of appreciating other topics just because it's not something you have a passion for. I have a passion for these things in an almost vicarious manner, if that makes sense. You find it important - so therefore so do I. C: ❤️❤️

I don't think it wise to accept friendliness pellets... I've... heard things.
I'll take a cute flower in a pot for a friend, though.
Ha! It DOES seem like we have lots in common. B) I'm thrilled & amused.
I understand completely that lobsters can look/be scary to some folks. They are arthropods after all, and thus related very closely to spiders (which are a big fear of mine, ironically).

Okay okay okay, I just have to ask, you like Undertale, right? I mean your username and HA are practically oozing Sans and Flowey vibes, aha! SCREAMS BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO GET ME STARTED ON UNDERTALE I WILL TALK FOR HOURS LMAO. If you don't want the friendliness pellets I'll take them LMAO... give me all the LOVE...
[box=#444342]
Haha well, yeah kinda! My HA is definitely intentional & meant to resemble Sans & Flowey. My username comes of my undying love of sunflowers, though, & is merely a really nice coincidence.
I'm very fond of UT even though I still haven't finished the whole game yet (but I've already been mega spoiler'd so no worries there).
I especially love Sans. I relate to him a lot for various Reasons.
(I've even got two UT fanpets, Shenanigans & Optimistic, though they're both still in the bare-bones stages so there's not a lot to look at yet.
I've also been considering turning Enduring into a a UT fanpet. Probably Flowey.)
So no, I don't mind if you wanna chat my ear off about UT. B) Though probably not in a thread meant for other things, I think? I'm.. not clear on the rules for chatting casually in these situations. Maybe we could make a thread to talk about UT? I'm sure there's others that enjoy it, too.

User: Prefers to be called: Orc is fine or Neila. I don't mind. Pronouns: Pronouns I personally don't care about for me at all.
