Breaking Bad... I never cared about it when it was on and when people would talk about it. But I watched Better Call Saul (apparently a spin-off prequel thingy) and I loved it very much. So now I'm trying to watch Breaking Bad for the first time. It's marathoning on AMC right now but I missed the first episode aa.. I don't love it right now but hoping it'll get better.
Don't know if this was really popular, but I tried watching True Blood the first time it aired in the UK. Watched a few episodes before giving up on it. I might have gotten into it, but the sex and violence was too strong for my liking.
Angel was another series I had trouble with. LOVE Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but couldn't get into the spinoff the first time it aired here. Saw maybe two or three episodes before I decided I couldn't be bothered. But I got the DVD box set a couple of years ago to give it another go, and now it's one of my favourite shows. c:
i love vampires but have a personal vendetta against the vampire diaries: mainly because i found the protagonist to be painfully dull, along with her brother and one of the two love interests (yay, another heterosexual love triangle). yippee, everyone's beautiful and popular and slightly vacuous, but that's okay, because there's hot bloodsucker boys! it hurts because some of the concepts and storylines sound brilliant - it's just ruined by the characters.
game of thrones - i watched quite a bit of it with a friend, but eventually i realized that i kept spacing out so often while watching that i had no idea what was going on anymore. after a while i had stopped being interested in everything that was going on. i think one day i could give this another shot, but not any time soon.
bojack horseman - watched the entire first season even though i hated the humor. was pretty disappointed because i liked a lot of the people who were involved in it, just didn't click with it at all.
supernatural - i watched the first two seasons while this was really in it's heyday and then didn't pick it back up. there were some good episodes but i could not imagine going through all of it just for a handful of "ok" moments.
I previously wrote here concerning Breaking Bad and I want to update... I finally finished that series. Now I know why it's so critically acclaimed, it was a drama that told a great and complex story. Though it was incredibly sad... Good stuff.
And adding to say, always give something a chance. I have found every time I didn't watch something because I thought I wouldn't like it, when I did finally watch it, I loved it. It's okay if it turns out you don't like something but make sure to always give it a chance first.
Pretty much any sitcom. There are one or two British exceptions, because I guess I just like the humor more, but usually it feels very forced and they're always so loud that they kind of give me headaches.
Also just about any reality show. I'll have a day every once in a while where I'll watch a few eps, but I liked reality TV a bit more years ago before all of them followed the same over-dramatic, cliff-hanger formula? I feel like I could pick any one show within a genre and I'll have seen them all.
NCIS - It's rare that I like a cop/crime show anyway, but they feel like characters instead on people on this series in particular and it annoys me.
True Blood - I liked the books for a while but eventually lost interest in them too. But the series was just WAT.
I like to give everything a shot so I have lots of shows half finished.
Better Call Saul, Vikings and The Walking Dead are big ones that I can think of off the top of my head.
The Walking Dead - I've watched a few episodes and I just can't get into it. and I'm not a zombie fan.

Friends... I know it's an older example, but I really don't like the characters (especially Ross) or the humor.
Also, while it might be better for the Anime & Manga subforum, Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon are both really popular and I wish I could enjoy them, but I just... can't. Sakura's too young for me to empathize and I hated the fact that Sailor Moon's 2nd arc seemed like it would basically be the same as the first.
American Horror Story. Main reason? It's in the title. I'm not one for horror. I did see a couple of episodes of the Freak Show season. That season seemed more interesting than the others. The plot and characters were great. If there had been less gross I might have watched the whole thing.
"Mornings are for coffee and contemplation." - Hopper, Stranger Things
Dr. Who - just, no interest. Idk a lot of quirky show characters just turn me off to the show idk?
Shameless - though all the characters were incredibly obnoxious. was one of my ex's fav shows but just idk too much sex and too little interesting characters.
Rick and Morty - grosses me out and i just don't find it funny.
Steven Universe - yeah, don't get the obsession.
How far did you get in Steven Universe? I'll admit the show isn't very good until the middle of season 1 (episode 25 is where the overarching story begins) and from then on it just keeps getting better and becomes something truly special. If you DID get that far... well I guess it's not for everyone.
As for shows I don't like.. I saw someone mention A Series of Unfortunate Events, and I'm inclined to agree. If I had to describe that show in one word it'd be "unpleasant". I'm really not sure who this is for. Maybe it's better if you read the books? I dunno.
Also Archer. Everyone seems to love archer, but the humor never seems to land with me... I gave it many chances but I just don't think it's funny.
not very far... is it ok to say i dont like the character designs/style? x: if i dont like the art style its usually very hard for me to get into a show.
Netflix's Series of Unfortunate Events. I wanted to like it, but couldn't, sadly. The same for the original Twin Peaks. Couldn't get past the first episode of either of them.
Also Big Bang Theory. Why the HELL is that sexist, bigoted crapfest popular?!!

Game of Thrones. My friends want me to try and give it another go though!
Also Rick and Morty, which... I don't even know if it is that popular... but from what I know about it, it sounds exactly like the sort of thing I'd love. And yet I couldn't even sit through one episode. Which has confused me to no end, basically. I don't understand what it is I don't like about it, I just can't enjoy it for some reason.

I cannot for the life of me get into Game of Thrones (Why?), Walking Dead (How much story is there for the apocalypse?), Doctor Who (I'm sorry, I couldn't even follow it), Rick and Morty (Had some 16 year old come and tell me how great it is and I'm just like, I really don't like stupid shows, but that's my opinion on it), Family Guy, Once Upon A Time (I think I gave up after the first season and said no), Sherlock (Though, granted, this one is because the cinematography is too dark and makes me sick, kinda like Fringe), Stranger Things, Supernatural (Granted, Stopped at season 6 and just never continued), Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black, 13 Reasons Why (I don't understand why), and the list goes on and on my friends.
I also have this problem that if something is too popular or "mainstream", I don't watch it or want to watch it until the hype has gone down. It gets overhyped for me and then I don't enjoy it and people don't get why I don't like it.

There are so many - I've never really followed tv show trends tbh. Anyway, a few I can think of are:
Game of Thrones Dr Who Sherlock Holmes Big Bang Theory Walking Dead Sons of Anarchy Breaking Bad
Game of Thrones... watched one episode with my dad in the room and it was some super sexual awkward thing to watch with him so we both just looked at each other and shut off the TV :x left a bad taste in my mouth ever since. Orange is the New Black was similar for me in terms of crudeness, but I also didn't enjoy a single character on there. I found it dull gggh
Also, Big Bang Theory is just a steaming pile of junk, never found it funny (but my parents love it so I have to sit through it when I visit...gah.)
Basically every show you listed :D in your first post mhm breaking bad um no
anything with druggies or drug use ah but i did watch orphan black and I liked it though.

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I really can't get into Riverdale. I watched it because of all the hype around the show and my friends kept on raving about it and although I watched the whole first season, I only wasted my time on it just to see if my opinion on the show would change and needless to say, it did not. I think the plot of the story is good but the dialogue and characters are super cringey and angsty which really throws me off.
