So I basically fell off the planet for two weeks. I got super busy between work, school, and obligations for stuff I was doing.

And then I got some really terrible news regarding my dispute with Priceline on Saturday. Almost a month after I thought it was all over and I had my money back, the credit card company gave them the full value of the ticket again. They spun me a line about my tickets being non-refundable and I spent hours on the phone until I got someone who could help me. I was correct, it never said clearly that they weren't refundable, but Priceline is refusing to refund me (and it also appears they may have cancelled my seats on the flight - so I might be paying them about $709 for literally nothing). We also talked to the trip insurance company - the manager assisting me from my credit card company has gone above and beyond to try and fix this, since the flight is supposed to be less than a month away. She tried to get the insurance company to expedite the answer on my claim, but they've refused (and refuse to tell her if they even think it will be refunded to me). I won't know for 10 business days (a week from this coming Friday at the earliest), which will leave me with roughly 2 weeks to figure out clothes, additional travel, lodging, spending money, getting my cards and phone to work in Europe, etc (again, provided they actually give me the airline seats and don't just take the money and give me nothing). I'm hoping it doesn't come to that, but my stress levels are through the roof now.

An upside: I spoke to one of my instructors (who teaches 2 of my classes) and he said that we could work out me taking my finals nearly 2 weeks early if I do have to travel. So that's one less thing to worry about.

ugh that is so sucky :( and if they aren't gonna refund they damn well should fix that flight! I hope this lady can work it out for you. Glad the professor can help in the finals aspect if you have to go

I'm hoping she can help me too. It's so stressful. And I'm very grateful he's willing to help me get my finals sorted.
