Today I decided on a story idea for my pet [pet=Luminaire] and wrote it up! Hopefully gonna get him done soon. He will be my first pet I have actually spent a LOT of time on the profile. I had been meaning to give all my pets a story at the very least, but haven't managed it yet. Need to either make my own or look for an artist for his profile design though.

I'm hoping to make up for my lack of motivation in 2020 by making progress on at least a pet per week this year.

I was up until 5:30 AM last night writing multiple pages for Susanna's story. Finished the last one about an hour ago and she is complete!

I'm really proud of myself for pushing to get her done, too. Her story really ramps up near the end as an emotional mess, it's such a tonal shift from everything up to that point. But I think it's good?? That last page was the hardest to write, it's just so hard to try and salvage some hope from the end of that...

Now I need to go back through Star Dream's story and update it to be more coherent with Susanna's story because they're connected + a huge part of each others' stories and. auuuugggh

tl;dr once you start writing don't stop until you're about to fall over from sleepiness

I love how his profile turned out! It's just the right amount of creepy for his character.

Lots of little coding things! I figured out how to keep only the clock on my pet's profile while getting rid of the rest of the menu bar by pasting random bits from the source code in front of display:none (and just a littttttle bit of making something transparent when I couldn't get it to disappear, lol), and I'm super proud of myself! I've also learned how to layer different elements on top of each other with z-index, and how to flip the "like" button upside down when it's hovered over, and how to make shapes out of a bunch of random boxes--it's been so cool, and I feel super successful every time I learn something new.

I've been really enjoying focusing on my pets lately and it feels like such a labor of love to work on all this stuff. In addition to the coding, I managed to get my main pet's stats all up to 400, and I have only 5 more books to read til I hit the current max achievement. Wooh!!

I did a bunch of art for my characters [pet not found] & [pet not found]. Also added some rough infos and a basic profile. Still need to color all the art and write their stories. So still a lot of work ahead.
