I'll add a mention to the News Sidebar thing in the forum post somewhere, but I figure the thread will still be helpful for things that won't necessarily be added there like mentioned. And also maybe not everyone checks the news every day, or they still might forget even with the sidebar. Having an extra ping to remind about things coming up wouldn't hurt! :)

I definitely meant it in jest, don't worry! I love the deadlines thread and it definitely has more complete information than the snippets that the news page will provide.

Both are useful of course, but the news page is like a synopsis to your fleshed out book.
