ABOUT THIS WIG
I don't know if you do the same in your countries, but in Argentina we usually do promises when we want something really bad. We offer something important in exchange for the thing we want, like "If I get good grades this semester I promise I will get a tattoo of my teacher's face". (maybe not so extreme, LOL, but it all depends on how bad you want it, tho!).
You can make your promise to a saint if you're religious, or just leave the fate in the hands of the universe. In the end, it's all about the energy. :3
Our kung fu teacher got suddenly very sick and there was a chance of him having cancer. The results of the tests were going to take a week.
I was just devastated, that man is like a big brohter to us, so with my husband promised that if he was healthy, we were going to cut our hair. It may not mean a lot to some people, but for us our hair was TOO important, it was the biggest sacrifice we could offer for him without selling our souls to some pagan god. xD
The tests finally came back, and he was healthy, so we took the scissors and cutted our hair. I cried like a bitch, really, the last time I had my hair this short was in 2000 (another promise).
We are going to donate our hair to an ONG foundation that makes free wigs for cancer patients, so if you have a chance to donate your hair, do it! <3
ABOUT THE CI: We do a southern style of Kung Fu called Hung Gar (or Hung Ga), known for low stances and tiger claw techniques among other things, that's why I did a tiger. One of the chinese ideograms of Hung Gar means family, that's the glowing symbol on the CI's hand. The yellow belt on the tiger is because we are in that belt right now. And, finally, the pose is a Hung Gar pose. :3
Our teacher is a warrior, and I hope someday I could be able to make him as proud as I'm proud of him.
