Yes, I do agree the ears may drown a but but I'm at a loss for any color that may fix it -- maybe the blues with shading? I'm sorry to have been a pain through this funk of mine, I will tip you for the time trouble.

How do you like these colors? I haven't removed the background yet, will get to it next :) Oh yes, what do you want to do with the rainbow stripe? It'll always have a white-ish background because it's originally semi-transparent against white.

Oh yes, the background! I'll remove it soon... or tbh, it's just a matter of fixing the rainbow stripe so it'll look nicer on darker backgrounds too. I haven't quite figured the best way to do it, but I'll see what I can do!

If it's easier, I'm fine with all of the image but the rainbow stripe being transparent, like treating it as part of the pet if that makes sense? idk, feel free to fiddle and do what you think is best! Also I don't mind being moved lower on your list if you need time to figure it out since you've done the bulk of the work already and I am still very happy with the results! (And I know your list is piling up-- with good reason, you're good at this-- so I don't mind if you want to be able to focus on some of the other things you have on your plate.)

Wow! He looks great. Can't believe I'm saying this, but could you make the body slightly less black to be able to see a little detail? Also, make the yellow lighter and brighter so it doesn't look yellow green on the head, butt, and hind leg? The ribbon will be fine. Thank you so much!

You're right, the first version looked fine on my machine, but it looked really dark on my work computer. Hope this version is better! I adjusted the yellows too, and removed the background ^^ Let me know if you'd like the body to be lighter still.

And here we go! I can easily adjust the brightness of the white bits, if necessary :) (But they will always look light grey instead of white because of shading. They look a lot brighter when the background is darker, like medium grey.)
