Niall nodded again after he righted himself in the chair that was. He was thankful Merlin agreed, the older boy was doing enough.
“Its cos I’m a bad influence,” Magnus replied with a very wolfy grin.
When the girl touched him Niall sort of toppled over. He got up, glasses askew and so embarrassed. He nodded, though he seriously doubted he would be allowed to go to so many people’s houses. He could be wrong of course. Mercifully he had no idea what the girl was thinking or he’d probably blush so hard all his freckles would fuse together. He tried to say something but looked like a fish out of water trying to breathe with his lips moving but no sound coming out.
"Yeah, you're horrible," Drew grinned at Magnus, nudging the other boy with his elbow. In truth he didn't know what he'd do without Magnus and Merlin around. the first few weeks he'd been at Hogwarts, he'd holed up in his room and only come out for classes and meals. His social life was non-existent, even in the common room. But now...he smiled at his friends, glad that he'd met them.
As Niall toppled over, Drew's first instinct was to check that he was alright, but he knew it would likely only embarrass the younger boy more. "Don't worry, Niall," he said. "You're not as bad as Merls. He can barely walk without tripping. come to think of it...Merls did trip earlier. And you and Mags fell out of chairs." He didn't add that Magnus had had a little help. "Uh oh...I wonder what's in store for the rest of us." He looked at Rosie, Lena, and Kyros at their table.
Rosie smiled relieved she wasn't the only one with an actual castle in the family. Admittedly hers wasn't too big. Nothing like Hogwarts, but still large enough to have it's own ballroom, grand foyer, numerous bedrooms and bathrooms, a library, music room and a basement pool. Not to mention the estate lands. The garden was humongous and the many hills and the forest covering them were all part of those lands
"Do you know the French border regions with Germany?" she asked Drew. "Our place is in the Alsace on top of a hill. The summer garden is so lovely and in winter we used to sled down the hills. Almost as fast as flying." she laughed. She abruptly stopped when she noticed Niall fell of his chair. "Are you alright?" she asked concerned.
((I haven't RP'ed in ages. This is so much fun)) :D

Merlin shook his head. "Don't believe what Drew says, Niall, I rarely trip..that thing before was a minor accident. I trip on my own feet but..alright I'm always on the floor, I call it my love affair." He laughs. "It's the one I mostly have contact with, so it must be love!" After listening to how others homes are like Merlin giggled. "So it seems I'm the only one that lives in a tiny cabin in the middle of nowhere. I don't even know what city it is, so much secrecy." He rolls his eyes.
Everyone’s place sounded amazing and far better than where he lived but thankfully he didn’t have to reply to that. Niall blushed harder at Rosie’s concern. “I am fine,” he croaked.
“I know I’m ‘orrble. ‘Orribly ‘andsome, Orribly clever, Orribly modest… I can go on if you’d like,” Magnus said snickering. “And you ‘elped me fall out o’ me chair, you prat.”
Merlin spoke of his place and Niall smiled. “It sounds great—they all do. I just live in a small three story thatched roof house. Boys floor on the first floor, girls on the second. Ground floor is kitchen, lounge, dinning room and study.”
((in Europe they count the first floor, so its ground, 1st and 2nd. Sometimes ground 2nd and 3rd. Confuses the heck out of me keeping it straight with America. Haha. Yay multiculturalism.))
((aww glad you're having fun Fampie!! I'm loving your descriptions. I'm a bit of a nut about descriptions and making people 'see' things. Guess that goes with the English degree hehe))
Shaking his head apologetically, Drew said, "I've never been there. Mum went to a conference on the Rhine last fall but the rest of us stayed at home." He smiled. "It sounds beautiful though. While I love the gardens, I have a brown thumb and so I'm not allowed near the plants other than walking and looking." He chuckled. "Sledding I can do though. I like winter almost as well as fall. Fall has the crisp air and clear nights, and in winter the snow makes everything look clean and sparkling. At least at first. Then you have wild heathens like my sister that go tearing off through it and yeah, that image is gone. so then we go sledding," he grinned.
At Merlin's comment, Drew snickered. "So Merls does have a love," he teased playfully. "And nothing wrong with a cabin in the middle of nowhere. It sounds cool. Solitude and privacy with just nature around you."
[edit]
Drew stuck out his tongue at Magnus and then grinned impishly. "Yeah yeah...we know all your attributes, wolfie," he said. "And just remember it's your influence that made me into who am I today so it's your own fault about the chair...more or less," he said playfully.
"A thatched roof would be cool...sorta like Shakespeare," Drew said to Niall. "Only I think his was smaller that yours."
Rosie giggled. She hoped Merlin's love would last a long time. "Tiny cottages can be cool too. Also being surrounded by nature can be such a nice thing. So long you don't mind muggle technology failing on you. It's all calm and quiet and no one who can annoy you." she said. Rosie liked the thought of some place small. At least you'd have a hard time getting lost in your own home. But were would you keep all your stuff? Unless you have an extending charm on everything she thought. "That sounds nice." She wondered how Drew fared in his herbology classes. With his brown thumb that could be a disaster.
((I try... Makes it feel a bit more like a story and it helps paint a more complex character.))

Merlin giggled with Magnus self praising and could only do the thumbs up to him. He smiled to Niall and comment. "That's a much bigger house than mine, even if its shared. We have a tiny kitchen that it's right next to the kitchen table, which are stones, there is a larger bedroom which my mom uses but it's not that big, and mine which is quite small. There is also a stitting place in front of a window near the entrance to the side of that is our book supply. That's it, the rest of my home is outdoors. I'm a pretty simple guy, all I have ever seen before coming here was that, so the castle is the biggest building I have ever seen. To me this is extreme luxury." He grins.
When Drew commented about solitude he nods. "You are spot on, lots of solitude and silence, cept when dragons are awake. There are more animals and plants than people there, I don't think there are even thirty people living there."
[Edit] "I assure you, the only one that can annoy me is my mom telling me where I can't go." He laughed.
((OOC: I got a class, will be back later))
Too bad Magnus’ self-praise was only joking. Magnus laughed at Rosie’s comment. “I’ve gotten lost in me ‘ome too. Though I guess it ‘elps that I’ve only been in it about 3 years.”
”What’s a Shakespeare?” Niall asked, “A type of building?” The rest of the conversation made the shy boy look away—back down to the magical creatures book. What he didn’t say was he’d easily prefer anything. Though he did agree Hogwarts seemed rather luxurious.
((I totally agree. I like story-type rp))
"You've got your own private world, Merls," Drew said quietly with a smile. "No intrusions from Muggle technology like Rosie said. Some of it might be nice, but overall I'll take magic and nature any day."
Drew smiled at Niall's question and shook his head. "Nope, Shakespeare isn't a what, it's a who. He was a famous Muggle who lived in England centuries ago and wrote plays and poetry. Some are funny, some are about love, and some are really serious and sad."
"Oh," he said, "I amn't familiar with muggles. Amn't allow to go near the muggle village." He frowned slightly.
(OOC: OKAY, I am back! ....Are we still at Las Palmas? xD)
(( don't know how much longer I'll stay on. I'm 6h ahead of subeta time ))
"You'll enjoy muggle studies then. They teach you all sorts of things about them. I'm sure they do some literature projects too." Rosie told Niall. She started tapping on the table surface again impatiently waiting for the tour to start. Her right foot bounced up and down. She glanced around the room searching for an indication. It seemed she just had to wait a bit longer.

(no worries we'll be here XD I love rp XD)
"Really?" he asked looking up at the girl. "I think I might like that. I want to take magical creatures for sure because I love them. Rosie looked anxious and he didn't blame her, he wanted to get going too.
((We are moving to the next task later tonight. I ended up having a 12 hour shift tomorrow. ))
((Guess that means I'll miss the excitement. Unless we get going in the next hour or so. I probably shouldn't stay up for too long. Also the free shop is being nice --Purchased Delish Cees Hair Balm--))
"Yeah.. And care for magical creatures is plenty fun. So long as the weather is nice" she giggled. "Any other things you want to learn? I love potions and transfiguration."

((ooh nice and thanks for reminding me, i forgot -_-))
Niall thought about it. "Well, er, I thought of divination and charms sounds fun. I met the professor on my tour.
"I love potions and transfiguration, though I'm not as good at it yet." He cringed at the divination and wasn't sure if he should say he hated it or not. "Charms is great too," Magnus replied.
