Event ~ 4 I'm more of a giver than a receiver so on here i randomly give out wl items and cws to people on the sb.

But my favorite was rl when my daughter turned 12 so this was almost 12 years ago, I got her first cell phone I set it so the ringer sounded like a cricket and the alarm would go off every three hours and hid it in her bottom dresser drawer and said nothing about it... Two days later she was still pouting and came to me in almost tears. "mom how could you forget my birthday???" I just gave her an I don’t know what you mean look .... then she started screaming how the world was against her there was even a cricket in her room torturing her somewhere... after laughing for 5 minutes’ strait while hearing her room door slam I went to her room pulled open the drawer and pointed to the phone "there is your cricket and happy birthday!!!" I got dirty looks for almost a month lmfao

So I was complaining about how expensive/hard some battling equipment is to aquire and I got gifted the item that I was afer! I was in such a good mood that the same day, when I had a conversation with someone new to the site I went through their WL and gifted them a bunch of stuff off it to spread the love. A couple hours after this I was gifted a WL item by someone else. It was a lovely day of gifting and being gifted :D

Back again for Event ! This one is personal but I'm anonymous online so shrugs I don't mind sharing it. Anyways, my family has always been poor. I mean to the point that as a kid, I'd ask for a barbie doll for my birthday and instead I'd receive a doll from the dollar store. So I got used to never receiving what I wanted... until 8th grade. That's when the fourth Harry Potter book came out and I went nuts. I begged and begged. I did all my chores, school was a no-brainer cause I always did well there. But still, it wasn't enough. Days before my birthday, my mom told me she couldn't afford it and that I'd have to settle for something else. So it's my birthday, always a small affair with only immediate family members attending. There was only one gift. One gift bag that was placed on the table after we ate some cake. I already lowered my expectations to getting school supplies or some trinket I didn't want but lo and behold! There was my Harry Potter Book. I remember jumping around and crying. Definitely one of the best gifts I ever received and one of my most treasured memories.

HOLY COW DO I HAVE A GREAT STORY FOR Y'ALL Ok so an Anon has been running this amazing event through gifting. Like, this amazing story about finding this mute girl and helping her get back to her hospital-running adoptive father who is looking for their friend WHO GOT ATTACKED BY PEOPLE!?!? Racist, misogynistic people. So turns out all three of them are ALIENS! ANGEL ALIENS! Their world got destroyed and they came here and a bunch of other shit but basically it is absolutely amazing. It was very choose-your-own-adventure formated, where you could pick which response you had and all this other stuff it was super freakin awesome

One of my favorite gifting memories comes from this past Luminaire, participating in a week long secret santa exchange. On the first day of the exchange, my partner sent me gift with a few small gifts and a message that was the start of a serialized story. Throughout the week, I greatly anticipated receiving each gift eagerly reading each new snippet of the story. When the week of our gift exchange culminated, my greatest joy came not from the gifts themselves from the heartwarming tale that accompanied them.

I feel so ungrateful saying this but would it be okay if I took the 600 CSC instead of the "Affluent Draped Invitation"? I love the "Affluent Draped Invitation," it's so pretty, but I don't think I have anything in my wardrobe that I'll be able to get it to work with so it'll probably just rot if it stays with me.

I never cease to be amazed by the overwhelming generosity of the subeta community. Here is one the greatest gifting stories I have: I'm fairly new to the CW market. Recently I was really obsessed with a certain wig that was still in the releaser's shop and on some super fluke I actually had a CW from her wishlist. So I sent her an sMail asking if she would be interested in trading. But being new to the CW market I didn't know if it was okay to ask about trading for something that is currently in a shop (I don't know how complicated it is to take something out of a CW shop), so I apologized up front if I was outline for asking about it. She sent me a message back saying it was totally fine and asking which color of the wig I specifically interested in. After I told her which color I wanted she just sent it to me in a gift box. I sent her a message 'thanking her and asking if I should send her the CW WL items now?' She responded saying 'no the wig was a gift!' I still can't believe it! I mean I was a total stranger, who had never even talked to her before and just because I asked (and I'm guessing because I'm new to CWs) she just sent me the wig!

Oh I'm so sorry I totally misunderstood. I thought the post said it was a choice between the two. That's completely fine. I'm gonna work hard trying to get the drape to work, it's so pretty. I don't plan on selling/trading it but if it ever comes to that... was it a private or would it be okay to sell/trade if I really can't get it to work?

I don't have a singular gifting story. Most of my gifting (giving or receiving) has been of the really cool anonymous kind where someone just dumps a surprise gift on ya.

Although I think I do like going through the gifting threads during Luminaire and giving to people I don't even know.

I actually was able to save up to get my mom a new flat screen TV one year! She was SO STOKED because all she had were those giant tube TVs so far and they were just so huge and cumbersome she was just SO relieved to get a new TV and it not be as heavy as a house LOL

I don't really have a greatest gift story but my pal always likes to spoil me with gifts. This lumi and my birthday she went all out and got me so many expensive things. She spoiled me good. I was just in awe how kind she is to spend so much on me all the time. She always seems to gift when I least expect it as well and at times when I'm not in the best mood and that cheers me right up :)
