No thanks. I like that this is still an option. Just because you or someone else won't use it (even for the higher priced items that are cheaper to direct-to-cs), doesn't mean others aren't going to.
DTS will not be going anywhere. It is still being used just as much as it was pre-smaller batches, and it's a useful tool to a lot of people. It certainly doesn't hurt anyone by still existing :)
after seeing all the replies, i can justify its existence, but the cost really throws me off, esp for the cheaper 2 categories! why must i pay 1.4k to dts something i can get 5 items for 1.5k and maybe just give the other 4 away? or sell them for like 25 csc each to "break even" on the 100 csc loss, in a sense? :c
or worse, pay 1.3k to get 1 item when i could pay 1k for 5 and delete 4 if i must?
hhhhhhh business student issues OTL

Sometimes it's worth it for the convenience. I hate having to take slots. When I eventually release more Pokemon CWs, I'm planning on DTS'ing them just because then I don't have to deal. A lot of people feel the same way. People are continuing to submit just as much stuff DTS now as they were before, so I don't think the system needs any changes at this time.
I considered using DTS for other items that I submitted in the past (the ones that never got a proper release,) but what threw me off was the fact that items priced at 0 CSC still appear on shop search. At the time, I would have rather fronted the cost of 7 copies I might not use, to spare people from having to see an unobtainable item from shop search.
Now that such items (apparently) no longer appear on shop search, DTS is a more attractive option (despite its cost) when I don't have the time to manage a thread in the Custom Clothing subforum.
i really support the idea of readjusting the DTS cost that was brought up in-thread (not by a lot, but honestly it seems a smidge out of whack now with 5 items/batches?), but otherwise i agree with most of the other sentiments for keeping it. it's nice to have & i've used it/will use it in future-- it's a feature i would personally miss.
it's interesting to hear that it's still being used just as much, though! i didn't expect that
edit: ah jeez this thread is really old, sorry! i didn't realize this board moves slow outside of a few topics OTL
