How comfortable are you with being given more freedom with the design? Like if I gave a paragraph/bulleted list of traits and descriptions for a character, but let you have free reign with the rest, do you think you could work with that? Of course it wouldn't be too vague, but I ask because I don't have many visual/artwork refs for my characters, just detailed ideas waiting for an artist to bring it to life ^^

Okay! I sketched a little thing for the first commission to use as a reference. Basically it's meant to be a human-ish form of a nuclear ghostly pet. Here's my sketch:

His name is Y2K and he's a ghost, so he's got translucent white skin/body and it's slightly see-through. He comes out of a computer screen, and I'd like the computer to be a laptop lying on its back like in my sketch. I hope it's clear enough to see.

For his features, he has:

• The t-shirt is ripped/ragged on the edges, and it is black with a green nuclear symbol just like the symbol on the nuclear ghostly's head.
• The visor is a glowy green as well, and the X on the visor is a dark green and it looks like it's on a screen.
• He has little fangs just like a ghostly does, and a very cheeky playful mischievous smile
• His hands look like the ghostly hands, there are faint green splotches that match the nuclear ghostly's on the fingers
• His hands have three claws each and he is making the peace sign with them
• His hair is black, with subtle streaks of green, and is a little bit spiky and short
• The laptop is silver and the screen has static on it

Please ask if you have any questions or clarifications! And I would like this to be full size please ^^ Also I am happy to pay a portion of this up front if you'd like, just let me know and we can negotiate something.

Ooh I love it! A few small things on the lineart:

• Be careful that the "thumb" claw is on the correct side of the hands though. I think they should be on different sides? (I could be the one confused)
• I'd love if the laptop could be viewed from a different perspective - what you have is good, just tilted a little bit to the side more (rather than the front of the laptop being directly pointing towards us, if that makes sense)
• The visor shouldn't be curved, it should be a flat rectangular visor so maybe we could see the corners of it from underneath his hair? It's up to you how to portray it though, you might know better than me how to do it.
• Could you make him shorter? (Or, make the "tail" part of the ghost shorter) In your sketch he seems to be floating way above the laptop, I'd like if it were just less... tall haha.

Everything else, I really like what you have, especially his hair and expression. I think the floating pixels are a neat idea as well :)

What does "draw him with lineart" mean?

For the background, it would be great if you could leave it transparent. What I think would be very cool, since he's a ghost, is if the drawing of his body itself could be semi-transparent (like ghosts are usually portrayed) I know that could be more complicated though so if you want to try it I'm happy to pay a little extra for it.

His birthday is the first of november, I know it's close but I can pay extra to have it sped up or even a WIP works to show him on his birthday and have it finished after!

Basically I'd love something of our characters (I will pay extra for the additional limbs) in his kingdom we've world built. Maybe in a throne room or brewing potions. Or if that is too much, a solo pic of him working on brewing potions works as well. Figure like an alchemist. But I am SUPER up to artistic freedom. Our characters are king and queen to a new kingdom special tailored to life forms with multiple heads/limbs. So anything a genital king and queen would do would be awesome! Doesn't have to be full body either, but a hint of a bg would be amazing!

Ok, I got your remark regarding claws, visor and tail; I didn't really understand what you meant by notebook angle so I sketched something like this? Did i understand it right?
