It's impossible to get biters for the 2014 strains since they were made permanent this year. Can something be done so we don't have to wait days to get infected please? [edit]Vials seem to be working now!

I would like this. It's been over 24 hours already, and literally nobody can help bite so we're all stuck waiting the maximum time until the virus triggers. We don't actually know how long it might potentially be, either, which is also frustrating.

I don't mind an initial waiting period, but I feel that 24 hours or so is enough in this case.

Were those the infections from the vials that Bubbles gave out? Idr Can't you just use those?

Yes, but the vials don't work anymore. You need to get the infections via biting now the skins are permanent

The "Drink Vial" option should be removed from them, if that's the case. Here, I hadn't been worried about obtaining those infections because I thought it was still gonna be a "use any time" option. Plus, I'm up to my backside in useless vials, now. headdesk

Anyway, on topic, I totally support this since biters are that hard to find. Never mind.

Absolutely! I've got my eye on a couple of those strains, but I'm putting it off because they're going to take ages to set in since no one has those skins. It'd be nice to utilize all those vials lying around; drink the one corresponding to the strain you've selected to quickly get the infection started. Even just for this year to build up a decent base for the years after. No one likes having to wait three days when we only have two weeks a year to get the skins we want.

I had this problem when trying to get my stinger strain. The 2014 strains should've a similar timed system like the new strains of this year seeing that the skins are hard to obtain as no one would have them. Utilising the vials would help a lot as welll.

I would just really like to see the vials still be usable, other than turning into useless items :/

So we might be able to get skins from those vials later? I got fed up with the wait and gave up trying for lotus after 24 hours. I have a few vials stashed away, hopefully I'll get the skin from those.

not sure i understand this but the vials work just fine, i got the bulbous one done while i was waiting to see the outcome of this years strains. they each have four stages before the strain is unlocked in wardrobe.

i didn't even know that they wouldn't work.. but it did for me, i just finished it earlier today

i read that but it worked just fine for me. got bulbous today by just drinking the vial the other day.

Grace must've gotten it to work sooner than she expected or something. Still. that the original poster stated that vials no longer worked was what I (foolishly) reacted to before I went digging for info. Just glad to see that I can keep procrastinating with it. lol

i also have a friend who drank one a few hours after me and she should be hitting stage 4 shortly but shes working today.

I think the wait in general should be reduced. I saw a thread recently where someone had to wait 3 days for a virus because they couldn't find anyone to bite for it. Personally I think 24 hours is more than enough. The viruses from the vials should have had the same wait as the 2017 viruses through VIP.

HEY GUYS I'm on 2nd stage of lotus (kinda hard to see.) After waiting 8-9 hours for my strain to show up, I decided to drink a Lotus Vial. Apparently the effect is supposed to wear off after a few seconds once you drink it (happened to @ gore) but once I drank mine I became infected.

NOTE: I still don't know whether it was because of me drinking the vial or not. If any of you are willing to experiment with the vials for your strains, let me know. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL SPEED UP YOUR INFECTION, SO DO NOT TRY IT UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO SACRIFICE YOUR STRAIN PROGRESS!

EDIT: I just read the above and I'm wondering if me using a vial will cause me to not get the skin :x I'll keep you guys updated, but the VIP page looks completely normal and even asks me to remove my strain for 1 mil. Also asked Angelina in the sb about my situation yesterday and she says I should be good to go, but I'll keep you guys updated all the same!

Well, just drank a vial and it seemed to work. I saw the FAQ and figured they were still broken, but looks like they got fixed. Thanks for the heads up!

I also just now drank a vial, and the healer and the VIP page say I'm infected. So thank you for that info, let's hope it holds true!

figured i would let you know, i didn't even know they were offered in the VIP xP went through the four stages in about 3 days

i was confused to read that they didn't work when i had just finished one, lol xD

yea, i believe they work just fine ^^ at least i know the bulbous one does 100% but not getting any of the others just chose the one for the achievement and it worked just fine for me and a friend is just about to reach stage 4
